Im from Argentina, and I eat something similar as you for breakfast. The thing is, in here, people do not cook the oatmeal (its ready-to-eat, its called instant oatmeal), you eat it cold. Instead of milk, I use yogurt, and to give it consistency, I mix the yogur and bananas (smash them) to form a more consistent yogurt. Then I add strawberries and Granola, sometimes almonds or walnuts
