FYI Angels Landing is super chill! If you’re thinking about it, you should totally do it! Don’t let the other TH-cam videos scare you. 😅. Also don’t fall for those stupid spam comments.
I hiked it this past April. The permit system is seriously flawed. Long story short, I went into the canyon on the frist shuttle of the day. Then I just poached it. To bad the National parks made me feel like a criminal. I drove out there from Vermont I was not going to be denied. Glad I went to Zion, but never again. Way to many people for this Vermonter.
Thanks for sharing. Hazel looks so chill as you guys are gearing up. This really gives the experience of being on the rock, another great story told! I also like the “old school 8mm treatment “ to those sections too. Very endearing!
I've been really stuck in my life at the moment and just wanted to let you guys know that these videos give me hope that I can get to a place where I can live the life I want. So thankyou.
So glad you guys got to experience Zion! My first time there was in March so probably similar conditions. I also went in with no expectations or knowledge about the park other than Angel's Landing. I don't think there is a single picture out there that can prepare you for what you'll see coming out of that tunnel from the east entrance. It's just absolutely unreal. We arrived in the late afternoon and it had been cloudy and raining. But the sun decided to make an appearance and the lighting was just something else. I will never forget that first drive into the park.
I made my wife hike up there a few years ago to propose to her. She hated and loved it. I bet it’s nowhere near as crowded as it used to be before the permit system. Glad you two got to see it!
Jazz hands!!!! Lmfao!!! I can’t stop laughing!!! Zion is soo on my list. Have you guys been to City of Rocks Nat’l Reserve in Idaho? It’s about 7 hours from Minden. I’m not a climber but I visited a few weeks ago. Cool place. Gotta stop at the Alamo Outpost Steakhouse. Great burgers. Thanks for another great vid!!
We really loved Zion, such a beautiful place to explore. Nothing is ever what you expect it’s certainly important to get out there and experience as much as you can in person but it’s nice to be able to have video since we aren’t able to do everything. Beautiful work!!
Zion NP is one of my favorite places on earth! I spent a summer working in Kanab, Utah several years ago and would drive up to the park quite often on my days off. This is so beautifully put together! Excited to have just discovered your channel 😊
Climbing in the cold! I bet that's rough. Hopefully you work up a sweat enough to warm up. I like hiking in the cold but biking in it not as much, I never seem to warm up. I couldn't imagine climbing. Nice video!
Beautiful imagery and great storytelling, as always.✨ I love how you guys create videos with a slightly different mood sometimes, some of them are more "adventurous" and some of them are more "chilled and relexed" and I assume that reflects the mood you were in when you created the video. It feels so authentic, love it! You are a huge inspiration guys, keep live your life to the fullest and keep sharing your great Art with us❤️
We are in the process of living a life of simplicity and I think our videos are starting to reflect that mindset😊 Thanks for noticing and as always, thanks for watching! -V
Went this past April. So over run with people, looks like you picked the right time of year. I'll never go back way to many people. Nice job on the timing.
Hey Cody! loved the video. I'm actually going to angels landing for my bachelors trip and wanted to make a video out of it. How were you able to bring your camera to the hike?
Amazing cody and victoria , your life style is so inspiring :D BTW, which luts from your slog 3 package is it ? :D and do you use phantom LUTS to convert to rec 709 ? Thanks one more subscriber for you
Greetings from Canada. My wife and I did Angels Landing in March 2019 when we were in our mid 60's. We didn't need a permit, we just got up really early and cycled up the road from our campsite. When we went here was a LOT more people up there compared to what you've shown especially when we were on our way down. I'd really like to know the time frame of your videos, we always camp in the off season so it would be nice to where to go and at what time of year too.
you guys should put window covers up when you bring hazel to NP’s- usually they’re pretty strict about leaving your pet in the car despite any type of weather and can fine you for it! just a heads up :)
Killer video as always guys 🤘 Dunno if you’re still in Utah, but you should definitely check out Bryce Canyon too. Not really much climbing, but the views are pretty spectacular. Let me know if you want any recommendations, I’m a born and raised Utah native. Always happy to have people come and enjoy our parks/outdoors for the first time. There’s a lot of magic places here
So beautiful video. Seems like u stopped taking photos on Sony and fell in love with Fujifilm? Have you thought about for example a Sony FX3 for even better video?
I know nothing about climbing, but it appears that in some places someone has already drilled in “bolts” that you can hook to? All you have to do is trust them?

LMAO "careful you might fall and get jazz hands" had my wife and I dying!
The dude has no feet but they gave him hands... it makes no sense😅

the cinematography is absolutely insane and coupled with a classic vanlife, climbing adventure is just everything. so gald you guys are documenting!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Well I’m awake now! Loved seeing the first person perspective!
Love this. We hiked Observation point on Saturday there & were truly blown away. Incredible NP.
Our minds were blown too! We had no idea how magical Zion NP is!

I break out in a cold sweat when climbing an 8 ft ladder, you guys hanging off the side of a mountain. Epic “home video” montage…NICE!!
Rock climbing is fun😜 glad you liked the "home video" feel! We had a good time with it😊

Beautiful video! Footage looks great and it just made me want to be back in Zion again. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!
Best welcome home greetings come from your dog.
I couldn't agree more🥰

Families are terrific but always good to have a little pavement underneath you and returning to the road. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays
As always, epic video. Thanks for the inspiration on this Tuesday!
omg, that climbing section triggered my anxiety and fear of heights/falling. my palms were sweating! glad you guys were ok haha
I made my wife hike up there a few years ago to propose to her. She hated and loved it. I bet it’s nowhere near as crowded as it used to be before the permit system. Glad you two got to see it!
The permit system is kinda nice! Plus off-season keeps the crowds minimal

Omg the jazz hands 💀 why did they put so much detail into JUST the hands 😂 Zion looks so beautiful!
Haha I have no idea but I couldn’t help but notice! Full fledged hands but no other appendages 😅 You guys should totally go though, it was insane
Angels landing look epic!!
It was beautiful and a really cool hike! Highly recommend🤘

Love checking my feed and seeing a new video from you guys!
Lost my lunch on those climbing views, we call Zion the desert Yosemite . Love it.😀
Best views in the house! 😍
Thanks for sharing!

I love Zion National Park. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s definitely one of my top 3 😊
Zion is absolutely amazing and we had NO idea! We will definitely be coming back again!

awesome content! appreciate Victoria's braveness in climbing!!
Really cool to listen to Josh Garrels in the beginning of the video!
Really loved the intro! It's great to hear your storytelling.
Storytelling is a practice and we're definitely still trying to work on it😜 hoping to incorporate it more in future videos!

Ashtar Command! That 2nd pitch is sketchy but super sick! Thanks for sharing!
Super fun! Loved the little excitement up there
Such a marvelous video! 👍 You knocked it out of the park. (No pun intended) 😉
Thanks Poon 😂
Zion is one of my favorite parks. Loved this video, y'all.
Zion is freakin amazing!! Looks like you guys made the best of it too!
Awesome video. Love the climbing footage. So beautiful 😍
Rock climbing can be so hard to film and to also keep it entertaining for everyone😜 glad you liked it because we really like rock climbing lol
@@codyandvictoria you guys do an amazing job!!!

Love the video y'all 🔥 Zion is my favorite national park that I've visited! 🌄
Zion is definitely one of our favorites too! Even a video doesn't do that place justice!

You guys are so good at creating, always pleasure to watch your adventures!
Love this! Love to hear some Josh Garrels too!
Great video as always! You guys put out the best stuff.

Love it. It was 455 degrees when we were there this summer so your trip seems pretty awesome!
As people from Arizona let me tell you, the desert in the summer is absolutely miserable and idk why people choose to live in places like that 🤣
I need to go on one of these trips, having a rough time in New York
Come out to the west coast and experience nature! It's so good for the soul✨🥰
Went this past April. So over run with people, looks like you picked the right time of year. I'll never go back way to many people. Nice job on the timing.
Yeah it seems fall/winter is definitely the time to go
I proposed to my wife at the top of Angel's landing! I'm glad you guys made it to Zion. Love the video!
What a great spot!
first you guys got me hooked on mountain biking, and now I want to climb 😅
We would be so excited to take you climbing! Let’s touch base and see if our paths are going to cross soon.
@@codyandvictoria i would love that ☺️
Super!!
Was just there last week! Would’ve been so epic to run into you guys!!
Climbing part was literally scary but you guys are epic😅❤🙌🏼 always love ur colours cody 🙌🏼

#1 Zion and #2Yosemite (for me) but didn't really hike at Yosemite tho. Got to check out Glacier Next since it's Cody's #1
Glacier is unlike anything you've ever seen! The mountains there are UNREAL! Hope you get to visit there soon🤗

god yes this channel is so good
Ha really appreciate that! We’re trying to upload more frequently. It’s so hard though. The goal is weekly videos!
What camera ure filming with at 09:00? love those nostalgia vibes
So beautiful video. Seems like u stopped taking photos on Sony and fell in love with Fujifilm? Have you thought about for example a Sony FX3 for even better video?
Do you HONESTLY think the videos would be better if we got the fx3? How so? Curious to hear your thoughts
I can’t wait to do Angles landing. The shot of you holding the camera at the summit; what camera and lens? I love the depth of field.
Sigma 24-70 always
@@codyandvictoria thanks. what camera body? You are holding it like it’s a small GoPro but you can tell it’s a good quality set up.
What brand are your coffee cups?
Do you add movement to your tripod shots? It seems all of your shots have subtle movement and it is so aesthetic!
Indeed!
@@codyandvictoria what do you use to add the movement?
I had to look away, too high for Me lol
😂😂😂
As a victim of permanent jazz-hands from falling, I take offense to this video 🤣😂🤣😂
Sorry for your loss 🙁
I know nothing about climbing, but it appears that in some places someone has already drilled in “bolts” that you can hook to? All you have to do is trust them?
That’s pretty much the gist of it! That’s what they would call “sport climbing”
This is scary as hell lol
😂😂😂😂
Your thumbnail looks like a painting
Zion kinda looks like a painting haha
And you didn't even show the scary part of Angels Landing...what the hell dudes.?
There’s a scary part???
Music not good. You are brave up there.
