ANOTHER VR Kayak Game?! Whitewater VR or Kayak Mirage? // 4090 VR Gameplay

- We have TWO VR kayak games but which one is worth your hard earned money? Kayak VR Mirage is the most popular choice with a chilled out vibe, photo realistic visuals, real world locations and fine tuned physics but Whitewater VR Extreme Kayaking Adventure wants to give players a faster, more intense experience focused more on rapids, faster movement and less impressive (but still gorgeous) visuals. Today I'm checking out Whitewater VR for the first time, another VR kayaking game that will have you swinging your arms like a maniac whilst trying to manoeuvre your VR kayak through these fictional locations. It's a gorgeous game but certainly isn't on the same level as Kayak VR Mirage (Kayak VR Mirage is up there with the best VR graphics I've ever seen), everything in that game feels meticulously crafted and lovingly built whereas Whitewater VR feels less true to life and delivers backdrops that look decidedly less "real". If you're looking for the definitive VR Kayak game them I'd say pick up Kayak VR Mirage, but if you're just looking for MORE courses, more speed, some realistic VR graphics and generally just more whitewater fun then Whitewater VR is also worth a look.
This Whitewater VR gameplay (Whitewater VR Extreme Kayaking Adventure gameplay) was captured on a 4090 VR ready PC using a Quest 3 via a wired connection, the game is available now on Steam for £16.80 - store.steampow...

Phantom: Covert Ops is also a kayak game with added stealth shooter.
One of my first played. love that one.
Yeah, great game that.. really enjoy the stealth shooter genre
Mine too on the quest 1❤@@Solidus_86
Love Kayak games in VR
these kayak games look fun to be paired with some high tier racing rig that simulates the movement of your vehicle
Or you can use it in your bath tub going left and right like crazy

...I guess!? xd
I was glad to see this is coming to PSVR 2. Seems like it complements Kayak VR Mirage nicely, in that it's a more fast paced exciting game vs Mirage's laid back nature. I'll probably wind up owning both.
You really need to play Still Wakes the Deep in UEVR. You'll love it.
For goodness sake, Beardo. Go kayaking for real. It's such a lot of fun. I'll take you one day if you haven't got to around it before then!
Congratulations to anyone still sober if you were playing along with the 'Beardo saying kayak drinking game' :) Looks great, definitely more of a workout too. Thanks for the heads up on this one👍
If I remember correctly in mirage as your progressing, you can actually change the skins on your kayak?
How is the sense of speed while going down the rapids. Its hard. To tell from video. Looks great though
2:34 Kayak Mirage too (by default, you can adjust that)
Came here to say this.
MAXIMUM demon shadow birds!!! 😉
@Beardo Benjo have you tried this on Psvr2 to see if they took advantage of head haptics and such?
They need a VR Oregon trails game that includes hunting and mini games. 100% would buy a VR Oregon Trail. There’s so much they could do with that concepts in VR.
that kayakfirst kayak paddling machine would probably fit well into games like this imo. a unintented dlc if u will
more so for mirage though, the physics are better there probably
Unlike Kayak Mirage, this game is actually designed around white water courses. Definitely wishlisting this game.
Have you played Cosmodread on the channel? It’s so scary! At least to me haha.
3 Kayak VR games if you also include the similarly named but different game "DownStream: VR Whitewater Kayaking"
Please no... that game is absolutely horrendous
Orange is the basic survival color for outdoor experiences!
Orange is basic survival "can be seen" Ive done alot of kayaking, if you rent them alot are orange. But mine is just bright colors mix of them. Death Stranding the map of the game is Iceland :)
Downstream VR is also a great kayak game!
“Not gonna compare the two” …compares the two the intire video 😂😂
Has Beardo done Covert Ops, the action/stealth kayak game? That seems like a natural next step if not.
Supernatural came out this week mate and ppl are already playing it with UEVR, it's got mixed reviews, I'm gonna pick it up though, it's discounted at the minute as well
Really very good game 👍.
Hope for a lot of replenishment.
You would need,
like the flight simulator,
a world map that you can drive on.
It's unbelievable how easy it is today
simply such a realistic kayak trip
can enjoy in VR,
and yet many people reject VR as a gimmick.
Well, kayaking fits VR as you control everything with your arms. Jetskiing and surfing, not so much :)
Have you played “The Dark Method” Steam VR game? It’s a Horror / Puzzle / Adventure FPS game that came out in 2020. Made by a small developer with good reviews. I bought it during a Halloween sale a couple years ago for its randomly generated haunted mansion. But it has a full and longer campaign as well (I haven’t played the campaign yet). Might be worth checking out. Goes for about 10$
We do need a surf game. There was one that works with uevr but I heard its not one of those perfect working games. I believe it’s called “Surf World Series”. I’m just waiting for their sale.
well , its not yet released , but into the radius 2 launches next week into steam early access, 40 dollars i think they said
As you were asking for recommendations: Forbidden Art (horror)
real-time multiplayer would be fantastic
Did you say a Jurassic Park kayaking game? That would be of interest.
Have you tried The Living Remain?
Did you check Sclerosis VR? It's a complete VR-port of Amnesia The Dark Descent 😱
I couldn't play this game on Quaest 3, the image keeps shaking, do you know how to solve it?
Is there a decent vr skiing game
Looks like fun
I'm still waiting for someone to make a wheelchair racing game in VR.
Dayz in VR
PLEASE MY BRO
Oh we do have a jet ski game, but unfortunately is still awful to play. Is called Aqua Glide and is on early access. Looks promising but still a lot to fix. Positioning on the jet ski is terrible. The hands don’t feel attached to the handles and turning, acceleration etc don’t feel great. But like I said it has potential
The problem with relaxing or chilling in VR game, (which I love to do in mirage) is that while you are relaxing, your computer is working overtime, reaching high temperatures while your headset battery is being drained.
With all this in your mind its hard to relax 😵💫
I have a PSVR2, what is this "headset battery" you speak of? 😂
The jungle level had what looked like Cambodian ruins, not Aztec or Mayan.
how would you do a surfing game without attaching your controllers to your legs? only nintendo would sell you attachments this crazy.
vr really needs nintendo, the wii was awesome back in the day.
You could easily just lean left and right and have the controllers or headset movement tracked by the game, but I don't think it would be fun for more than a few minutes.
You are paddling like a dog, who went for the duck.
Jetski? GTA5 VR ... kind of.
How the fuck do we not have jet ski or surfing. Wow. That seems so obvious.
This ones water and controls isnt as good as kayak vr, graphics could be better
Whenever I watch kayaking clips I always wonder how anyone can get enjoyment out of it, looks like a huge pain in the a to me. Guess I'm just not a water person.
To hard cannot even get a straight line in learning levels
Lets be honest, VR developers ran out of ideas a long time ago, same old types of games reproduced over and over. It's as bad as mobile gaming these days. When I got my first headset in 2016 i was blown away, really excited for how the technology would be used over the next 10 years. Then quest came out and all the games went backwards, we are just starting to catch up with pcvr from 2016. But no one has any exciting ideas, just short "games" and experiences. The best VR games are made by some guy in his bedroom modding PC games to work in VR. I feel sorry for VR TH-camrs, you have to try and sound enthusiastic when there is nothing on the horizon to get excited about.
Yet not one single turn based strategy game like battletech or xcom.
@@sinner76028I love a bit of xcom. Yeah, it would work so well, a scifi city laid out in front of you, you can manipulate the map to see enemy forces heading in behind buildings, queue up all your player actions and then watch it unfold from a birdseye view or at street level.
To me this games does not have enough detail. I already own Kayak VR: Mirage, which in my option out classes this game above. This game Whitewater VR: Extreme Kayaking Adventure
does not seem the same graphicly wise and to be totally honest does not really seems to have what I would deem a true White Water experience.
One of the most boring games ever made.
Clearly he's sponsored by Mirage
