Hands down one of my favorite moments in Star Wars in a bit. Cal experiencing Cere’s death through his psychometry and then holding her through the vision as she passes away hurts my soul
Watching Bode's face is so interesting the second time. It's clear as day that he's uncomfortable and the look on his face when the alarms start going is really sad.
From the start my alarm bells were ringing. He was always talking about his daughter and keeping her safe, always uneasy yet resigned. I wasn't surprised by his betrayal, but I was surprised by all the rest. He wasn't forced to do his work and did it with gusto which made me so happy when he died. i thought they were using his daughter as leverage.
@@theodoremichotte8364 Yeah I knew from the moment on Coruscant where Bode told Cal he was going to draw some of the Tie-Fighters away and then meet up with him later. Him being a Jedi though was completely out of nowhere.
He was a whole ass Jedi shit had me like wtf. If you and cal work together y’all can get your daughter back easy, but this man was too far gone in the darkside
@@Bestman1314the thing is, when cal told bode his daughter will understand what he's done for her that cemented what bode would do. Then he asked cal one last chance to go before everyone and check it out only be turned down. Then he went to make a bed time story for his daughter. Sure that when he called Vader's speed dial
17:59 You would have thought Rick The Door Technician returned with how hype Afro got here. But Vader is a close second. Back when they fought before, Cere was such a non-threat that Vader swiped her away like he was on Tinder. Now, we still see that he wasn't taking her seriously for most of the fight. But she's improved so much that playing with his food actually got him pretty hurt. Definitely a way to show that Vader is still THAT guy without downplaying Cere's skills
She had bro limping and her name isn't Obi Wan,Ashoka,or Luke Skywalker that's impressive got bro struggling to stand like he just threw back 12 pints 💀
@itsthequenchiest5072 It's literally no different than landing one solid hit on a boxer just to get knocked out. It's called sympathy points. Also, it's fair to point out that already known flaw of Vader's suit. Furthermore, the limping is easily more attributed to Vader trying to balance OR his respirator being damaged.
I was playing this with my girlfriend and i was already sad enough about Cere dying but when she pointed out that all that Cere sequence was an echo that Cal sensed from her dead body just broke me, that's when both of us started sobing.
Also I kinda love that because Vader got cocky, Cere ALMOST killed him. Shows how strong she actually was and also shows Anakins arrogance is still alive and well
Loved Bodes character, his betrayal was unexpected but as it progresses and looking back on scenes it makes so much sense, he was blinded by the dark side out of wanting to protect his daugher kinda like anakin with padame.
Bro the moment he brought up kashyyyk I was immediately suspicious of bode and knew at some point he'd betray us but it was the when that got me in all honesty.
Vader putting down his Saber aa he holds back with sheer force power is the most saucy flex use of the force I've ever seen. I'm glad they did his fight justice, he really is just that guy.
Holy shit, that was honestly one of the most well written star wars moments i have ever seen in a video game, story wise and cinematography wise. The added spice from Bodes story twist as well as the visual subtly they give to him makes it so much better than it looks out to be. The entirety of ceres fight is written so well i could go all day on how amazing it is 😂
The best part of this game to me will always be replaying the story just to study all the things that bode says and does, it’s actually crazy on the second run.
my favorite thing about this is how you play the whole fight like its current, then realize it was just another force vision cal was watching and the fight took place a long time ago. 10/10 decision.
Vader switched to his two-handed stance by the end of the fight. He definitely wasn’t taking her lightly. She actually pressed him a bit. Also Cal holding Cere like that at the end and experiencing her death through the Force (and her being able to see him in her last moments ahead of time in the Force) broke me. Excellent Star Wars content
At one point Cordova was a jedi but since the Empire took over he gave that life up and cut his connection to the force off, also jedis don't fear death they welcome it so it makes sense Cordova didn't want violence in his last moments

Afro, she died alone. If you notice, the fire in the air are sparks and everything is still ablaze. There is a transition effect around her as she's dying. Then you see Cal, and suddenly the sparks in the air are ash in the air. Suddenly everything is not on fire anymore. Cal used his Jedi abilities to see into the memories of her corpse, because she's not a person anymore. Just a body, just an object. If Cal was there in that moment, he'd have fought Vader, and Vader would have killed him. Her last thoughts were of Cal and Trilla, and she died alone. Great vid as always. @@Dee-wq4bl No, because it's canon that Vader does. Sith always overestimate their own abilities and underestimate their opponents'. The man literally just repelled the lightsaber back with a simple Force Push. It's pretty obvious that he was playing with his food from the jump.
Afro, my next dnd campaign is gonna have a character like you playing jedi survivor. How confused you were, pleading and repeating bodes name gave a level of desperation that feels not scripted. Like a real person being betrayed
I'm just realizing that Cal wasn't there for her final words, he showed up too late and it's only because of his ability that he could see that past event. damn
Vader uses brute force cuz he knows he’s way better than his opponent and is also arrogant cuz he’s still anakin. He’s still strong in the force but he’s always been obsessed with lightsaber combat even as vader. Even when he seems like he’s losing he’s not. He finds thrill in dueling which leads him to prolong his fights until he decides to finish it.
@@lilportalzoom1352there’s no alternate reality where she kills Vader. Whenever he gets close to death Vader gets serious and uses his full force instantly. Going from 60% to 100 in seconds.

@@georgemitchell7273 vader told you that?
@@Dee-wq4bl No, because it's canon that Vader does. Sith always overestimate their own abilities and underestimate their opponents'. The man literally just repelled the lightsaber back with a simple Force Push. It's pretty obvious that he was playing with his food from the jump.
@@Dee-wq4blif he wasn’t holding back why did he only swing with one hand for the majority of the fight?
Afro, my next dnd campaign is gonna have a character like you playing jedi survivor.
How confused you were, pleading and repeating bodes name gave a level of desperation that feels not scripted. Like a real person being betrayed
Finally someone noticed the Obi-wan Death Star stance😭
I'm just realizing that Cal wasn't there for her final words, he showed up too late and it's only because of his ability that he could see that past event. damn
Vader uses brute force cuz he knows he’s way better than his opponent and is also arrogant cuz he’s still anakin. He’s still strong in the force but he’s always been obsessed with lightsaber combat even as vader. Even when he seems like he’s losing he’s not. He finds thrill in dueling which leads him to prolong his fights until he decides to finish it.
Which leads him to almost getting killed by cere. She could’ve finished Vader off if she didn’t do that move
@@lilportalzoom1352there’s no alternate reality where she kills Vader.
Whenever he gets close to death Vader gets serious and uses his full force instantly. Going from 60% to 100 in seconds.
@@ThyBait which being cocky and arrogant for whom ever he is fighting will eventually lead to his downfall someday
@@lilportalzoom1352 Eh I guess. Luke was legitimately stronger than him though so it didn’t matter if he was arrogant. Now if this was anakin instead of Vader maybe him being cocky would matter
@@ThyBaither lightsaber nearly penetrated him. She just barely missed.
1:12 Lol but BD was originally Cordova's droid so he doesn't need permission 😂
This the first Jedi survivor anything I’ve seen (besides the trailers) and immediately I picked up that bro was gonna betray everyone when he said “I’m gonna go record a bedtime story” 💀💀💀 lucky guess but still thought it was funny lol
“Cal go get him! He’s over there!” got me CRYING 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bode having the force was hinted at because hes the only person that doesn't slow down when cal stops time
That would make BD-1 force sensitive. Think it’s just gameplay mechanics.
Also suspiciously was aware of the Jedi Orders rules like no attachments and Jedi sayings
@@Biggietalls779 no bd slows down
@@Biggietalls779 in addition to that anytime you use bodes assist he kicks the person out the way and thn throws the mine
Knowing vader that was very respectful of him
Awww shit we made it to the hypest part of the game boys
These games get to me man. Cal's story is just the best.
Kinda hard for the 9th or 2nd sister to appear since they were both already dead. lol
You gotta finish the series now. We can't wait. I NEED TO SEE CAL SPIN THE BLOCK 😤😤😤
Why Tf Did I Literally Just Beat This Mission Got Me In My Feelings Bruh😂
We can all agree this shit caught us off guard 😢😢😢😢😢it's like we knew yet still having tears in my eyes damn well done 👏
Man was worried he wouldn’t finish
Afro went through the whole spectrum of emotions in this video.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel like there's just no way Afro hasn't had this game spoiled for him
Bro his reaction to bode pulling out that lighsaber had me in tears😭😭
I kinda felt something was up with Bode. Idk, he just never seemed like "bro" material to me. Also, he was "too good". I mean, a normal dude being able to help you fight a Jedi?
Only force sensitives like Boba Fett could handle that task.....
Cere watching Vader stumble while dying went so hard.
How did he not see Bode’s betrayal coming 😂😂. They set it up so obviously.
Probably because from a rational perspective it doesn’t make sense
when Vader is so strong, that when someone gets him limping players start saying "AT LEAST YOU GOT HIM LIMPING GOOD JOB!"
