Thankyou Matt, I find your advice & approach to trading using small wins with consistency week by week, & month by month very encouraging to a newbie. Hearing good advice from a master trader is profitable when we take it. As Elrond said in Tolkien's books, he never gives advice because those who need it won't take it and those who would take it don't need it.
I love your content and the quality...always! If you had a consern the neighbor was mowing ... I would listen to you even if the neighbor was mowing, his wife was chainsawing a tree down, a garbage truck was honking as it was passing by and all the dogs in the neighborhood were barking. Thanks for sharing the beautiful day outside with us.
Hi Matt, quality of the video is decent, more than adequate to get your message accross. Quality of the video content is excellent. I appreciate the information that you share, for new traders it's invaluable. Thank you.
Time to put the lawn mower up on blocks or in the shed winter is just weeks a way, lol. I'm using Amp now with trade view my only negative is as you said no tick. I'm now using tradovate for ticks works great and cheaper then Amp. I use the 800 to enter and 4000 for setups use the hrly for my lines as you do. As you know I trade the Mes. I like using the 50sma, one reason is it goes flat when the market is in chop mode. Thanks for all you do. ))))))
Hi Matt! Appreciate the change of environment in the video - it's a fun format and nothing wrong with the quality. I am curious to hear more about your experience with Linda Raschke, what you thought of the course and your main take aways from her as a trader. Thank you!
Hi Matt, thank you for the video. I can see you are using an old wide angle lens perhaps with an adapter? I have a blackmagic camera that I use with old, cheaper lenses that give me the extra blurry edges and chromatic aberration. It doesn't bother me, I've just noticed it as I'm really into this stuff, otherwise it looks great.
Thanks for answering my earlier question on Sierra. As a follow-up, what Sierra package do you use for your own setup with Amp futures? With Ironbeam at the moment, so trying to weigh the different options. Thanks!
hey matt, i know this question should be for an accountant, but figured you may have experience to give a quick answer. This is the first year of trading for me and i'm slightly in the red. slowly getting it back thanks to mentors like yourself. I'm located in Ontario I have made some purchases for trading, such as monitors and other services like trading view. Are these types of things eligible for a potential refund on my taxes, even if i don't incorporate and still red on the year? thanks!
Does anyone know what tick chart Day Trader Next Door uses? Always been on a time based candle. Would like to know and haven't heard him mention. Great video and seems like such a great guy!! Thanks!!
@@DTND Thanks a lot. Love your channel so much. Maybe you can answer this in your next video... When entering a position a lot of times i take on quite a bit of heat as soon as i enter lately. Would you recommend to go lighter size to add more in my ideal entry area or should i just go full size immediately where i want and entry and just fully accept that risk, maybe size down if its to much? Been struggling with execution a lot lately but have good trade thesis. Thanks a million sir.
Quality of the video: Looks good from my house! Matt, knowing that you've been trading for many years, would you say the increased volatility/volume on the ES has made it easier to trade? Perhaps giving more opportunities to make money but if your trade thesis is wrong, you'll be stopped out a lot more quickly. Last week was a rollercoaster ride, for example. I was looking back at the ES in 2008-2015 and on many days there was only a 5-10 point movement, giving a lot of time for you to react appropriately.
What's the lowest cost arrangement to practice trading futures? What is a good corollary in equity or currency to trade also for training instinct. Is there a tool to train the dom/ladder outside of paying for ninja or something similar?
Hey! Canadian here - can you please expand on picking and opening an account with a US broker? I’ve looked into this and since they don’t accept Canadian customers without a Canadian arm it looks like I would have to open a US company
Hi Charlie, You don’t have to start a US company and there isn’t much if any advantage of doing that anyway. There are brokers that accept Canadian customers - Amp and ironbeam do and are also clearinghouses, either of them would be a good place to start.
some traders will scalp out (close out) a certain number of contacts and leave one or more contacts in the trade in hopes that the market continues to go in the direction of the original trade. the idea of that is to try and squeeze out more profit on the trade. i hope that was clear.
What the heck would we watch if we didn't have your channel? I guess all the brain stuff channels. lol... I'll do both. [also what's your cell phone numbers? LOLOL]

My goal is to achieve 300 points a month on ES. October I am up 148 points so far
How you doing now?
Thanks for this Matt. Video quality and audio were fine - even the lawn mower sounded good!
Thanks Scott!
On sierra chart you can set up the chart to watch the ES while trading the MES. That’s a better option than watching a MES chart
Camera worked great, appreciate these videos!
I definitely can see the Matt Damon resemblance! Thanks for answering my, and everyone else's questions, love the Q&A's!
video quality was fine in my opinion. thanks for making these videos

Thank you Matt and the video was awesome
Thanks Matt for your answer on the tick, but I forgot to ask you about the VIX as well, how do the Vix helps you?

Curious on your opinion of the prop trading firms for newer traders, thanks Matt
I trade off the 15 minute using the 4 hour. I use a 15 point stop and usually go for 40 points
How do you mean? Do you use a 15min? or a 4 hours?
loving these Q n A
Glad to hear Brian. Working on one today
@@DTND btw i heard you have a course ? the website doesn't show it. im just curious about it
@@briant9966 hey Brian, yes but it’s quite small and not publicly available. You can email me for more info.
@@DTND i sent you an email thank you
Enjoying the videos Matt. I have a question for your next q&a. If you could go back in time what would you tell your younger self about trading?

Hi Matt, what did your trading journal used to look like when you were still logging your trades?
Thank you sir for anwser.
You’re welcome!
@@DTND advice that i got some time ago i u can make 1 point a day then just grow and add how much contracts u need to get income u need.

Thanks Tyler! 4000 tick chart on the ES. For the MES somewhere between 2000-3000 should be similar

Isn't it more difficult to make money during these low volatility conditions? Spread+commission take a deeper cut out of the gains
