- Merlins Old School Garage, @FabRats and @pestcontrolguys are getting ready for this trip of a lifetime. To jet ski over 300 miles is insane to think about! Now to find all the jet skis and get them ready and running for the trip. Will they be able to get everything ready in time? We can’t even start to tell how excited we are to be hosting this event! After watching this, we know it is going to be hilarious! Can’t wait to watch Hunter try to go the distance. Good stuff guys! Skis have made it safe, and we even gave them a good bath. Our video of their arrival goes live Tuesday!

Fairly sure everyone will have to have a vessel endorsement on their driver's license.

@@RA-dc5qp Hunter will be the only one that will need to take a boating safety course. I’m not 100% sure of that, someone of his age would need it to drive a boat so I assume he would need it for this adventure.
Why is it that I have started to struggle with watching 20 to 30min video's from YT'ers that I've watched for years, but I can watch an hour long video from Merlin, and be left wondering where all the time went?,🤔, Thanks for sharing.

Merlin, I have kayaked from Atchinson Kansas to St. Louis not once but twice. Took us a month both times. Did it with one very good friend who to this day still does it annually. I used a 14' kayak. It is critical to know how to go from the Missouri to the Mississippi river. The undercurrent can drag you and your lifejacket down and drown you. Do NOT ever leave your jet skis unattended when you stop for the night. We went into town and had supper with some local friends one night and returned to catch some men raffling through our kayaks. They left very fast when they found out my gun was on me and not in the kayak. Dont think that you can do this with Jet Skis but we docked at a casino, carried our kayaks through the casino, had enterprise bring us a car, tied the kayaks to the top of it and drove back to Kansas.

Oh my god, Merlin! My mother had bought a projector just like that when I was growing up! Identical. She bought it with either Plaid stamps or S&H Green stamps. She also bought a Brownie 8mm camera the same way. You had to wind up the spring on the camera. Wow, what memories from 60+ years ago.

This is going to be an awesome adventure. Who's Jimmy trying to kid? "These will hold fuel".. Those things were made to haul beer. When the boat ran out of beer they sent someone back to town for beer and ice and hauled it back in those jet ski trailers. I"ve been to Havasu on Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends!! LOL!!
Those hydro trailers are badass. We were all jealous of our friends that had them. Great deal on the price also.
How to keep a bunch of men entertained for hours. Give them some broken equipment and a then a seemingly unattainable goal and just watch the fun.

This is my world. I have 6 children and keeping jet skis running during a vacay at the cottage with all of them is definitely a circus. You got to have at least 4 of them and a room full of parts so 2 or 3 are running strong at all times 😂 and that’s no bull. I do exactly the same thing though in the winter and look for cheap parts skis because those mpi’s alone are 500 plus new.

I used to shoot a lot of home movies. Each film is only three minutes long, so I spliced quite a bit. Working on the alert pad, adult films were shown frequently. The film also broke frequently, and they would toss the broken sections. I collected the sections and practiced my splicing. My practice splicing roll was stored in the projector. One day my wife loaned my projector to a neighbor to view his films. He saw my roll, and decided to show it also. His family was a bit surprised.

I've been to the Arch many times on my boat Merlin , but I do it coming out of the south from Hoppies Marina
I run the road that parallels the river between Jeff City and Washington several times a week. Wurst House in Herman world be my vote for a quick lunch. I'll be keeping an eye out for you, guys. Can't wait to see what a epic adventure this will be.
Those carbs on those yellow rotax motors are a devil to remove. Need several home made bent wrenches and spare nuts for those on hand.

Looking forward to this. I live just outside of Jefferson City Missouri. By river, Kansas City to JC is 223 miles and JC to St. Louis is 158 miles, so about 381 miles and then I think it is about 10 miles from the Missouri river to the Arch on the Mississippi.
I can't wait to see all the boys ripping these. It's going to be like police academy 3.

I use pex line clamps they work awesome.
Check your fuel pickup line in the tanks. They also get brittle and break off.
Very cool can’t wait to see this trip. I ve done a few river trips on a canoe packed to the brim with weight and two of us. One attempt at white water sink our boat and lost a bunch of gear 😮and almost froze & drown 50deg. Luckily made it out and changed quick and fished sum gear out a little down river and learned how lucky we were from the pros filling their boats with buoyancy bags in every space to float the boat when the water comes in. We loaded our boat with weight 😮slowly recovered and drove down river only to find the donut shop towed the other vehicle that we were relying to get back up stream to 1st truck. Just a cluster of a river attempt 😊
