Oh dear lord ❤ I love this human. I haven’t listened to this song in years, and I’m balling my eyes out. So deep and heart felt I can’t describe what it does to me. It’s like confronting the beauty of death and heartbreak and deep buried childhood emotions. Yet it makes me feel free. Love you Anthony ❤
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.
brilliant. i was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. during my treatment i was in a "hypersensitve" physical state. my nerve endings were on fire and i felt like . . . in addition to the fear of death . . . i would have a nervous breakdown at any minute. A&TJ was basically the only thing I could listen to. this work lives in the space that occupies the mind when it slows down and realizes the fragility of this live plane. the world is so much better with AH in it. peace to you.
@@ioulton9861 you come across as a pathetic sub-human. So many people have had cancer and everyone knows someone in the circle. You obviously think you are funny, but you are nothing but a sad douchebag.
Okay, one of the most beautiful voices in the world. I, accordingly wish to dedicate this song to my 🏴 madge, whom I haven't seen for 30 years 😮😘 ❤❤❤❤.
In youth's spring, it was my lot To haunt of the wide earth a spot To which I could not love the less So lovely was the loneliness Of a wild lake, with black rock bound And the tall trees that towered around But when the night had thrown her pall Upon that spot as upon all And the wind would pass me by In its stilly melody My infant spirit would awake To the terror of the lone lake My infant spirit would awake To the terror of the lone lake Yet that terror was not fright But a tremulous delight And a feeling undefined Springing from a darkened mind Death was in that poisoned wave And in its gulf a fitting grave For him who thence could solace bring To his dark imagining Whose wildering thought could even make An Eden of that dim lake But when the night had thrown her pall Upon that spot as upon all And the wind would pass me by In its stilly melody My infant spirit would awake To the terror of the lone lake My infant spirit would awake To the terror of the lone lake Springing from a darkened mind So lovely was the loneliness In youth's spring, it was my lot In its stilly melody An Eden of that dim lake An Eden of that dim lake Lone, lone, lonely...

Dear Jonathan, I am So Very Sorry for your loss...My Husband died by His own Beautiful hand, two years ago;26th December 2014....I know the Grief....XOXO
Esta, junto con Bird Girl, River of Sorrow, Hope There's Someone, I Fell In Love With a Dead Boy y Knocking on Heaven's Door, han tocado mi corazón ♥.
Respetuosamente Laura: tienes un oído y un gusto musical absolutamente extraordinario y exquisito!!! No ha existido, no existe ni existirá jamás una compositora y cantante como nuestra Anohni!! Ojalá y la vida la haga eterna!!!
I wish Antony and the Johnsons would cover Nina Simons, Wild is the Wind.... they would do this perfectly. I love his voice, the setting, fireplace crackling, cold rain mist.... alone, again.
So strange. I was just thinking I'd love him to do a cover of Janice Ian's 'Stars' after hearing Nina Simone's version. I agree. He would do an awesome version of 'Wild is the wind'.
I was just listening Wild is the Wind which reminded me of Anthony and I came here to listen to this song after a long time..still one of the most beautiful songs ever ❤️

this to me is the most beautyful and the best song out of all his wonderful songs. i love this song and i love to his hear his music. and i have to agree. Poe would be proud.
Beautiful song. First time I hear it was very early in the morning when the alarm clock woke me up with this wonderful song. It is always a pleasure to listening again and again. Piano sounds so deeply sad. Does any body knows where to get or buy the piano music sheet for this song?
My school's VPA (Visual Performing Arts)prorgam had a dance performance and the seniors made a couple dance peices and one of the seniors happened to be the bestfriend of Conrad Roy III - a boy that was dating a girl that convinced him to kill himself and speciffically told him how to do and said it would be ok if he did in 2014 (it was a big story around the US) - and she used this song for the dance piece. Backstage everyone was crying. And the movements made more of an impact. It really moved me
As Richard Corben pointed out in Haunt of Horror - and Poe would agree - this poem is about dumping corpses in isolated lakes, not mortality, solitude or any of that transcendental crap. Enjoy.
Actually its based on a true story about a lake whose waters were reportedly poisonous. Two lovers died there, first the girl, then the man went insane from heartache and was never seen again. Its assumed he drowned himself. A couple poets wrote about it.
Why isn't this masterpiece on Spotify? 😞
Got me crying a river…again.

Of a wild lake, with black rock bound.
