Connoisseur Of Cars & Tig Ol Bitties fairly normal sound for old turbo autos, my 1st gen gs300/aristo made the same noise until I fitted a shift kit, it’s the ecu retarding the timing to reduce the torque to save the gbox. It’s clear they are using the same strategy to reduce load on the sprags.
Its the car dumping fuel to bridge the gap in momentum loss when changing gear. Like you lose momentum when putting the clutch in a manual. The autos don’t because of the fart 💨

These are great mods to do first. Down pipe and tune shaved a full second off at the track. Running low-mid 11’s just from these simple mods. The B58 is looking more promising then I thought
You should try to gently blipp the gas whilst the revs are going down(so the revs barely goes upp but you add a little fuel. Might lead to some nice long poppage.

BMW has the BEST wiring plugs. On N54’s/N55 they have these metal locking clips that require no tools and also have these square o2 sensor plugs that are pretty neat.

BMW has the BEST wiring plugs. On N54’s/N55 they have these metal locking clips that require no tools and also have these square o2 sensor plugs that are pretty neat.
