Reading the title 'allay powered silverfish dumping basalt generating skulk farm' just had the same energy as 'chocolate covered starfish in hotdog flavored water'.
Even if Frogger isnt open yet, it still wouldnt be a bad idea to get a team together to play "together", the hilarity of like Imp, Zed, and yourself watching Skizz get wrecked by "Sunday Driver" would be hilarious... just you 4 in a group is instant funny.
So to answer to the question at 7:28 is that given that the Minecraft would generates 60,000,00 by 60,00,000, it means there are 3.6x10^15 blacks on the surface, divide that number by the size of a chunk, by the size of a structure spawning region, and then multiplying for how many of those regions would spawn a witch hut, and then by the chances that within those regions the witch huts will spawn close enough to be used all at the same time, the expected value of viable quad witch huts is ~1.2. Which is not good. It means that you could expect maybe 1 viable quad witch hut farm per world. On the other hand the expected value of bi witch hut farm is ~26000, which means that its really all but guaranteed that at least 1 exists somewhere. So while Tango over estimates the chances of finding one he is right that the chances of looking farther out from spawn does increase the chances of finding one. This is based on some shoddy math though, so I don't know if this is super accurate.
wasn't it 600million x 600million, or 3,6 x 10^17 blocks² for the surface? not sure if that'd significantly increase those numbers... on the other hand even if on average there could be thousands of farm viable quad witch huts in a minecraft world, 600million x 600million is far from infinite thus there'd still be a non-zero chance of not having a single viable quad witch hut form a farm. with an expected value of only 1.2 or even a few dozen, that chance is significant. thus there is a small but statistically relevant chance of not having such a farmable quad witch hut cluster in the world. especially as the structure block could be generated on the inside of the world border in a way that's placing the witch hut outside of it. or does the math take that into account already?

Hey Tango, what if you included a drive through window for hungry hermits? A mob could come by in a minecart and need to pick up a big catering order like beetroot soup or cake! It would allow for non-stackable sorting since it would be a completely different system-you could just throw the food out the window to land on an unseen hopper that could dispense the item into a non-stackable sorter. If you give the driver the wrong order and they drive off you lose
It's good to hear cake is back on the menu! Don't forget about rabbit stew - it's even more complex than cake because you have to cook the potato and rabbit first.
If you use minecarts and are worried about them potentially breaking when you leave the farm, I would include some redstone to turn off the minecarts so that you can switch them off a few minutes before leaving the area.
This is a huge "What if", but... If you use the Johnny Raid Captain trick, you could get the Witches to attack either Silverfishes or Slimes. Which would turn pretty quickly into a huge brawl. Surely fun to watch. But I guess the mob cap would quickly become a problem in that case. Yeah, the more I think about it, this was probably a bad idea.
daylight time in Stockholm/Helsinki is weird if you are not used to it and knows how to combat it you either don't sleep or sleep too much! late december you get maybe 5-6 hours off light(that includes twilight) during mid june you don't get darkness, the sun sets around 10-11pm and rise at 3-4am but it never gets dark just twilight for a few hours as the sun skims under the horizon. further up north (900km/560 miles) the sun don't really rise during late december and never sets in june which really screws your day/night rhythm up.
2:30 there should be a few quad witch huts, somewhere in any seed and with the thing Doc has, where you can even yeet yourself to the far lands, you could get there almost instantly. So it's really just a matter of writing a script to find the location and you could have a quad witch hut on the hermitcraft server.

About streaming Clank, how about reaching out to Cub and Hbomb to play with you? Or maybe Hypno and JoeHills? They played a lot of DO2 as well and their schedule might be easier to work around. We love seeing Etho and Pearl on your streams, but seeing some of the other hermits (and friends) from time to time should be quite fun!
If there was a dbl Skelly spawner afk-able distance under the witch farms it would be really cool to feed the arrows up to a line dispensers in the manor of a super smelter. So the witches would be picked up in mine carts and machine gunned by arrows set off by activator rails. Might be easier to do a dispenser line for each hut and where the witches pool up have an auto potion crafter preloaded to make weakness and pre-stocked with splash weakness then timed appropriately.

1:34:21 this is a very real game dev worry, I worked at a AA studio and we had a massive hit, the team were confident, we knew we had something good but there's always the worry of "What if" and quality doesn't always translate into sales. We had early access which helped quell that a lot, I'm sure Tango will feel better after the first playtest and knowing what he needs to tweak but it's unfortunate that sometimes the projects you work super hard on don't get the attention a quickly hacked together one does. It's tough to divorce how you feel about a project and your effort from how many eyeballs are on it, doubly so if you're a content creator
I hope someone mentioned it already but when dumping mobs INTO the nether loads chunks and allows mobs to move, now mobs being pushed OUT of the nether despawn if no one is loading the overworld. However yes i think others in the nether messes with the mobs, but then again i had a Guardian farm that pushed into the nether and on to soul campfires and the guardians were still there if i went to gather their drops after a larger batch went through. It was on a server and im fairly certain it was working just fine with multiple people online and some in the nether off in other areas... Idk, at the end of the day it sounds like minecarts to a bubblevator is the easiest way to go.
11:30 the Nordic countries still get nighttime in summer and daytime in winter, even on the solstice, because basically nobody lives above the arctic circle. Nights are just really short in the summer and long in the winter.
I live in Umeå, which is about 900 miles north of where Keralis lives in Sweden (I am pretty sure he is in the south). Here in June the sun sets at 11pm ish and rises at 2am (so 21h a day of sun) which means it never really gets dark. In December however the sun rises at 9:15am and sets at 1:45pm (so about 4h 15min sun on the shortest day) :)
It is actually quite different compared to where in sweden you are, you have to be at the very top to have midnight sun in summer and no sun in winter. And in the very south they have about 17h30min sun in summer and 7h in winter, so very different from the south to the north :)
On the height question about the witch farm portals it should work out if the y-level of the portals in the Nether is exactly in the middle between the Y of the hut portals and the collection portal.
Idea for a fun witch farm: just build Decked Out 3 below the swamp, have the witches drop into the playable area and allow players to kill them, then at the end of the dungeon have a card shop where players can spend the redstone dust they collected. Finally, mail the redstone dust to your factory. Simple as that. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Now on the other hand the lower half of Alaska is more like Michigan weather and seasons wise, but the northern half Alaska is totally different. I personally havent gotten the chance to visit myself but id still totally recommend trying to pull off at least a week vacation, up to a month, in Northern Alaska. Go hiking, camping, dog sledding, fishing, etc etc etc... there is so much to do up there even when its mostly day or mostly night.

I think why people thought you were off center from the huts is you are playing with a wide field of view so you rotated less then they expect to get 180 degrees.

This is a legit and fair question. I'm just as enthusiastic, I'm just struggling to get videos done at the same pace. I think its a combination of streaming, a lot more real life obligations, and a little bit of paralysis on what to do next. I'm doing the best I can, but I agree that my current upload rate isn't acceptable.

for boats with mobs, you still can keep them inside portals but you need to make a double teleport first, then as long as they don't leave the portal for more than 15sec they won't be teleported again
You could handle minecart return the GOAT way: One-time use only.... Autocraft a minecart at the witch hut, after dropping off the witch, just let the minecart fall into lava. Iron farms are OP enough to supply the necessary iron.
Portal linking ignores vertical when there is only 1 portal in range but accounts for it when multiple portals are in range. And vertical is not divided/multiplied by 8.
I didn't think With Huts cared about mob cap. I thought you just had to get them out of the area of the hut and it will spawn more, like with spawners?
I don’t believe you get more redstone from the witches in 1.21 by taking them all the way up to you. Killing them quick is probably better for the redstone rate. In my world I have a single witch farm that gives me about 5-6 stacks of redstone blocks per 30 minutes. My design kills the witches as quick as possible with entity cramming. You can compare your rates with mine to see if you want to change how you kill the witches.
Depends how you take them up to you. As soon as mobs are in minecarts they are no longer part of the mob cap. So getting them up to you that way would certainly net you more Redstone. But even just water elevatoring them might be faster. It's hard to hit mob cap with even two witch huts and as long as you are under mob cap, you don't lose any efficiency.
@@4203105 I’m very curious if that even is worth it. Entity cramming is less effort. Adding looting to it, brings little extra drops while you still need to be actively swinging. Better is to just stand still over night and have a few chests filled with redstone blocks in my opinion.
@@4203105 that is incorrect. I just timed it in my world. A single witch farm in 1.21, not reaching the mob cap provides 8 stacks and 48 blocks per hour. A double farm like tango will have, will provide double that. He will have a full chest with blocks about every 1 and a half hour at that rate.

Further you go to north, daylight period increases in summer (northern hemisphere)

I don’t believe you get more redstone from the witches in 1.21 by taking them all the way up to you. Killing them quick is probably better for the redstone rate. In my world I have a single witch farm that gives me about 5-6 stacks of redstone blocks per 30 minutes. My design kills the witches as quick as possible with entity cramming. You can compare your rates with mine to see if you want to change how you kill the witches.
Depends how you take them up to you. As soon as mobs are in minecarts they are no longer part of the mob cap. So getting them up to you that way would certainly net you more Redstone.
But even just water elevatoring them might be faster. It's hard to hit mob cap with even two witch huts and as long as you are under mob cap, you don't lose any efficiency.
@@4203105 I’m very curious if that even is worth it. Entity cramming is less effort. Adding looting to it, brings little extra drops while you still need to be actively swinging. Better is to just stand still over night and have a few chests filled with redstone blocks in my opinion.

Also making a looting farm seems way more fun.
@@4203105 that is incorrect. I just timed it in my world. A single witch farm in 1.21, not reaching the mob cap provides 8 stacks and 48 blocks per hour. A double farm like tango will have, will provide double that. He will have a full chest with blocks about every 1 and a half hour at that rate.
