I adored this movie! The mime/clown mix is genius. I’m not typically a gore fan but everything else is so superb, the writing and real fear, that I fell in love with it.
I must say, He's ten times more scarier than Pennywise in my opinion, I mean, at least Pennywise doesn't take a person's eye out to fill in his missing one. If I have to be honest, Art is the very first slasher character to appear naked in horror history. At least that's what I have seen🙄
Reminds me of the movie "Basket case" came to theaters. The hype was so blown up and even my friends were talking about how disturbing it was. I actually paid to see it in a theater and I was angry that people would say such hogwash nonsense about that movie being so great. I've seen parts of this "Terrifier 2" movie and I'm so afraid It will suck to. It looks stupid as hell so far but I'm gonna give it a go.

I think it's the shock and aww factor from all the gore that has everyone so hyped about this movie. I'm with you, don't get it either, but I'm not into torture gore scenes either.
You just have to be a huge b horror movie fan. All practical effects and barely any cgi! That's respect. That's why so many people love it. The movie has a great soundtrack too! Art the Clown's personality is amazing. Instantly became a horror icon which is so hard to achieve. It's just a great way to inspire other directors to bring back creativity. The movie did its best w/ its low budget and still made profit.
