I listen to Hakobune & Chihei Hatakeyama everyday.Their music is so transcending & relaxing & so avant garde.Thank you for sharing it’s a masterpiece as already said.
After the lockdown, I used to sneak outside for a cigarette, after which, I would rinse my palms with hand sanitizer to mask the smell of smoke. I played this piece of music enough during those times that now, when I listen to it, I am immediately reminded of those dark empty roads I took to destroy my lungs. Isolated from society, from my own family and friends during my personal crisis. Now, whenever I play this album, I am haunted. I feel alone. But I am spared for a few seconds - distant memories evoked by faint memories of the sanitizer embrace me. And I am at peace, even if it is only for a few seconds...
Might sound too repetitive to some, I myself don't like everything than can seem a bit too "lazy" in some compositions, but in the other hand, there are some really great pieces like this one, or hiss album Nebulous Sequences that shine above the rest.
@@ADDADotflac that’s always the danger with ambient. He’s very prolific, has made a lot of different sounding stuff, some of which is maybe average or somewhat better, but plenty of which I find extraordinary - Sinking Stars, Isohel, The Cowboy Across the River, and Love Knows Where, to name a few of my favorites.
@@PompousPicard1 Maybe the Japanese scene is more discreet also, I'm not sure about that, but they seem less vocal about their releases, explaining their usual lack of recognition.
I have no words to describe such beautiful combination of sounds, this is the first time I've listened to it and it was otherworldly. It's been a long time since I've felt transported, and it wasn't even this intense. Thank you Maestro Hakobune, and thank you for sharing this wonderful masterpiece! 👏
And what's even better is that Hakobune made this album available digitally a couple of years ago, so you can enjoy it without having to purchase the original tape !
Every now and then i just get that feeling to go. Had it in teens now laye 20s sell giveaway or storage what i have and whats left after then jist go to middle of ocean to save an island and its native bird. One day.
thanx for sharing, I heard it on Ambient Sleeping Pill but could not find it on Spotify. It is beautiful and emotional. I will definitely check his other music!
I strongly advise you to check his double-album Nebulous Sequences, releases on VoxxoV Records ! You're welcome, thank you for this message (I only got the notification today, I don't know why) :-)

I know these feelings ; thank you for sharing part of your story here.
One of the great masters of modern ambient. Even within the genre I feel like he’s underrated and overlooked.

@@ADDADotflac that could be the case. A lot of his stuff seems to be available only on Bandcamp, not a lot of self-promotion on his part, haha
