Go to the Opryland Mall, Riverboat ride down the Cumberland River to Downtown Nashville. Look for the building that looks like Batman. There is a hotel in the same area as the Opryland Mall and the Riverboat ride that is like a rainforest inside and u can take a boat ride thru the hotel. It also has a revolving restaurant inside the hotel. The Opryland Mall has an Aquarium and bowling Alley, Arcade, movie theater inside. Comedy clubs are good.

My rough one was 40, but I had just left a very abusive 23.5 year marriage the month before....and was a single mom to 3 and had moved 983 miles away from all my friends and family to escape it.. Know this Melinda....that was a crappy bday for me but omg ....little did I know how my life was going to change in such a positive way! I learned not to make the same mistakes and went back to school and made a bunch of huge changes in my life! That's the magic of being your age now... it's not too late, you can still make life exactly how you want it to be! PS I'm hitting the big 60 this year and honestly because of those changes I'm not upset about it at all, it's just a number!

Summer in Tennessee is very fun, lots of things to do and you can count on sunny days. The weather is very different from what you are used to, it will be super humid. Fall is also an amazing time to go, if you prefer nature and the color changing of the trees, less humidity and cooler weather. Everyone loves Nashville but I recommend Memphis as well.
Happy birthday Melinda 🎂! Nashville downtown is easy to navigate, it’s one restaurant/bar after another. Boot shops and Western wear shops sprinkled in. If you want to go to the Opry it’s not in downtown. It’s hard to see it all in one trip unless you stay minimum 2 nights, 3 is better. The Gaylord Opry hotel is gorgeous and close to the Opry house. There’s also a nice mall nearby. I’d go to the Opry website and find out who’s performing when and base travel on that date. There’s not a bad time to visit Nashville 🤷🏼♀️. We spent 3 days our last trip there and it was a blast. We live an hour and a half away so we’ve been many times ❤. Remember to always use the buddy system, never walk around alone.

I wrote a song there in 2005 and had it produced. You must go to the Ryman at least to see it but I saw Keith Urban there and Miranda Lamberts first concert she opened up for KU. Garth Brooks just built a new honkey tonk bar and his wife Trisha Yearwood is there and they use all of her recipes. It looks beautiful. Go to Tootsies and have a look at all the cowgirl hats. I bought one there, it was expensive but I still have it all these years later. Have a blast and be safe.

I can kind of relate, I just turned 30 in January and the whole year before I was just freaking out about being 30 and it being my last year in my 20's, it still low key gets to me but to be honest I tend to forget my age, mentally I feel like I'm in my early 20'a but physically 😮💨I feel 30.
30s were my best, most fun and most growth. I was recently divorced/annulled after great sadness, trauma, abuse, and tragedy. I wasn’t where I thought I would be and compared myself to others that were married, kids, and a house. I decided at 31 to focus on adventure and new experiences. I have not looked back and was so happy with how my 30s went!! I made the most of life and stopped comparing, and found great happiness ❤. I hope you do too!
I’ve lived in Tennessee my whole life its literally gorgeous all year but the humidity is crazy in the summer, but it’s still great weather. You definitely need to visit Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg as well. I think your gonna fall in love with Tennessee 😊 The mountains are breathtaking and I will never move out of my state!! I totally understand the sadness on your birthday. When I turned 30, I was SO depressed because I'm childless, unmarried, and I lost my uncle who is like a father to me and I kept thinking about how he would no longer see the milestones of my life. It's not easy. At ALL. But it's in THOSE moments when we have to hold on tight to God and his promises and keep the faith alive that God provides in his timing.

I lived in Knoxville for 45 years(3 hrs from Nashville). You will have a blast... but go before summer hits or in the fall (colors are beautiful in the fall) due to the humidity in the summer. Happy Birthday.

CMA fest is a whole weekend of free upcoming country music artists (you can pay to see bigger named people) and then everyone goes out at night. If busy is your thing, it is so much much fun to be in nashville then!

I can kind of relate, I just turned 30 in January and the whole year before I was just freaking out about being 30 and it being my last year in my 20's, it still low key gets to me but to be honest I tend to forget my age, mentally I feel like I'm in my early 20'a but physically 😮💨I feel 30.
30s were my best, most fun and most growth. I was recently divorced/annulled after great sadness, trauma, abuse, and tragedy. I wasn’t where I thought I would be and compared myself to others that were married, kids, and a house. I decided at 31 to focus on adventure and new experiences. I have not looked back and was so happy with how my 30s went!! I made the most of life and stopped comparing, and found great happiness ❤. I hope you do too!

I’ve lived in Tennessee my whole life its literally gorgeous all year but the humidity is crazy in the summer, but it’s still great weather. You definitely need to visit Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg as well. I think your gonna fall in love with Tennessee 😊 The mountains are breathtaking and I will never move out of my state!! Hope you enjoy your time 😊
