Thank you so much for posting this for all of us who have no idea what we are doing but are still in a shutdown mode and need to go ahead and try to trim the dog. It was so helpful that you explained things well, had close ups of what you were doing, and covered all the particular areas of the dog, and how they needed to be handled differently. We completed the job yesterday and were very pleased with how it worked out, thanks to you. Our little dog is SO much happier now!

Love the finished result, and I feel I can now do a better DIY on my Havenese, which you mentioned was a very similar style. Thank you very much! It would also be nice to know your first name, if willing to provide, you are so pleasant to watch! :-)

I hate this video. It's made so well with such detailed instructions but the only thing it is missing is informing the viewer that you need good hand/eye coordination which I'm missing.
This is probably the best tutorial on how to puppy cut a Maltese dog on the internet. I just hate it because I still suck at grooming. I'm lucky that my dog is so cute it doesn't matter how badly I cut her hair!

Can you recommend a good diy grooming kit? I bought ,however they come with attachment combs. They did not have replacement clips which I see it pretty important for the paws and delicate areas.

Thank you for taking the time, I really enjoyed this. I have two white Havapoos and they are very similar in looks. I have to be honest though, this is how I don't like my puppies to be cut. I don't care for the shape of the ears or the thick bangs, which reminds me of a toddler who's mom sat a bowl on his head and cut around it. 😆 But obviously some owners like this look.

I enjoyed watching your demonstration on how to groom a maltese. My dog is a yorkiepoo and her coat is a cream color and has a cottony texture. If grown out she looks like a miniature sheep dog. Her coat is not silky like a Maltese. Any tips on what type of cut and length would look good on her as well as what type of shampoo and conditioner would help the texture of her coat? I am grooming her myself and keep her cut short but would like a better cut for her. Thanks for posting your video.

    • @travelfan100

Clipper blades are the same universally, 30/40 are only for pads of feet, not even 40 I'd say 30, on the body make sure to use a guard comb, most groomers use 4F 5F 7F clipper blades for the body. if u google dog grooming clipper blade chart you will find more info.

One of the most helpful, specific videos I’ve found. I wish the camera person had kept the cord clicking still. It makes it harder to hear her (and it’s unbelievably distracting for those of us that are learning). Otherwise, the groomer herself is very helpful. Thank you.
