- ‘Extra’s’ Terri Seymour caught up with Jessica Chastain after she won at the 2022 SAG Awards. Along with opening up about her win, Jessica also praised her fellow actors and revealed how she was going to celebrate.
Terri is such a pro. Imagine having to maintain that kind of energy when your voice isn't all there. Major props to this host & big congrats to JC on her win!
Well deserved. This performance absolutely opened my EYES. Big fan of the documentary - this narrative telling brought Tammy Faye, and her world, to light and life. Spectacular performance.

She is so remarkable. I loved her in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. I even purchased the movie in December after I saw it opening night in September of last year. She really got to Tammy’s heart in the movie. Which as a gay, HIV positive man, she really inspired me with this role. As a Christian, I feel so left out sometimes. It was nice to see that not all of the evangelical community loathes the LGBT community. Tammy represented that radical love and bless Jessica for being smart enough to know that that story needed to be told during when there is so much animosity towards disenfranchised people like me simply because of who you are, where you live, or who you love. Go Jessica! Get that OSCAR baby!

I would have loved to see her nominated for 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her' or 'Miss Julie' but I might be the only person in the world who saw those films. 😂 If you haven't seen them, I highly recommend them, if only for her magnificent performances.
I saw all 3 versions of Eleanor Rigby and Miss Julie. How they dont have oscars is just isn't right. James should have them for split and glass. Colin was also excellent in miss julie. I still say hands down she should have been up for Miss Sloane. She was great in Mollys game too but Miss Sloane was really good. The Gotcha court scene is just so good. Take shelter how were they not nominated? she deserved the oscar over octavia. Octavia is amazing her role was more entertaining but I think jessicas was more emotional.

Gaga deserved the win.
No. All of the actresses are great; Lady Gaga is also good - but her acting in House of Gucci cannot hold a candle to Jessica’s performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. When you watch HoG, you can still see some Gaga’s moments, but Jess totally transformed into Tammy beyond her layers of makeup (thanks to her acting). So, do not say Jess does not deserve it. That is why Jess received an Oscar nomination, not Gaga.

@@lindseycarribean5113 No, Gaga was good but Jessica's performance was a lot better in a better movie. There's a reason why she got shut out at the Oscars. The entire movie was a mediocre mess that tanked her Oscar potential. Blame Ridley Scott for not making a great movie that is as good as Gaga's performance. Her acting can't save the movie from being a mediocre dull overlong mess with an inconsistent tone that affected the cast's performance. They're not blind, they're just smart enough to recognize other performances that were better than her in a far better movie. A Star Is Born was a much better movie and a much better performance than House of Gucci. Jessica deserved it 10 times a lot more than Gaga. Scandal my ass, cry harder bozzo 🤡😂
