Since Andross was a scientist, at first, I thought Andross drives some sort of head-like spacecraft, but later I read on the internet, that Andross's experiments transformed him into a huge, disembodied head with floating hands.

Star fox adventures used to be its own ip and rare sold itself to microsoft not to mention they stole source code from Argonaut and miyamoto pulled developer to the back as apparently he stated that the creator of star fox 2 was gonna get royalties just to re use the concept blatantly copy pasting with zero the whole fucking series makes me sick

When I fought Andross in the brain form the first three times, I lost so bad. One of the hardest bosses I fought as a kid.
My hard one was the SNES one and the 64 and zero im so good bc in 64 im playing on emulator and zero i play so good on the controller
But in snes is hard because the controls are a bit hard

In retrospect, I like the Adventures Arwing a lot since it's more realistic IMO. If there would just be a combination of Assault, Adventures and Zero Arwing designs that would be awesome!

Check out "A Fox in space", they give a different take on Andross where he is portrayed as a crime lord of some sort.
He's a mad primate scientist who transplanted his brain into a robotic body (hence his appearance in Star Fox Zero.).

Andross is one of Nintendo's more underrated characters.

Fun fact, Star Fox 2 was originally gonna be released on the SNES in 1995 and be the 2nd installment for the Star Fox franchise.
And when they were SO DAMN CLOSE to finish developing the game,they cancelled it.

I was honestly surprised how easy andross is in the SNES games. then again... I haven't gotten to him yet in any of the other difficulties considering I beat both games just today
When I first played Star Fox Adventures, I felt like I should have expected Andross to be the final boss, but I didn’t.
The horned jackal look in the original is quite uncanny for his appearance; very strange and it may hint at his sinister evil as a scientist/conqueror.
I assume star fox 2 andross was fought on hardest difficulty? That would a good incentive to replay it

Star Fox 64/Starwing 64 looks a bit like a Rareware's mature Nintendo 64 game... But Nintendo makes sure the games they make a family-friendly, and that's great. But Andross still looks kinda creepy... Especially his mask form from Star Fox (1993, SNES, Nintendo).
In case you didn't know, Star Fox 64 is called Lylat Wars in PAL regions, not Starwing 64.

The Andross boss fight in the first Starfox looks like a face made of sliver and not a ape-like creature, while the Andross boss fight in Starfox 64 looks literally like a different thing (a ape), the only thing that’s similar is that they are floating heads!

I haven't played Starfox 2 or Zero so i don't know if this gets explained in those games, but i want to know, what is the purpose of those bipedal morphing arwing things?
For going indoors. Basically third person shooter mode. Sometimes you need walk on switches and fight guys in smaller rooms where the arwing would be a hinderance
Well that makes the Landmaster sound obsolete. Why drive a slow, bulky tank when you can drive a quick, rapid-fire mech that also doubles as a space ship?

Star Fox Adventures had the best Andross, and was also clearly the best Star Fox game. After all, it was developed by Rare.
It’s a spin off really. It was originally meant to be a different game called dinosaur planet. As a Zelda clone it’s okay. The arwing sections though are incredibly half arsed. And I think it put Star Fox in the slump it is in today. Nintendo should have never given it to other developers as much as I love Rare.
@@magicjohnson3121 I am aware of the original development title. I believe the Arwing sections are fine. There is no point in doing more as the focus of the game is clearly adventure. After all, it's just Arwing sections overall in the Star Fox franchise. Play Star Fox 64. That's still the best Arwing sections. Star Fox Adventures was a significantly good title for the franchise overall. It is Star Fox Assault and beyond that lowered the quality of the Star Fox franchise. Adventures and 64 are still the best games.
