honestly tho, if tyler planned to leak this on purpose, that would really be the coolest idea ever. i love how most of the lyrics is kind of related to the hiatus like it was mysteriously and coincidentally leaked before the end of hiatus. the line "we once were lost but now we're found" and "we destroy a part of us every time we blink an eye" like it means that the eye that symbolized the hiatus is no more since the longer they are on the hiatus, its like they are destroying a part of them.
No matter that we're going down, literally, as the planet is decaying at a rate they could never had fathomed, it really is of no concern. At least, from Tyler's perspective, in my opinion he is accentuating the ultimate good that is to be found in the darkness of today's world. He speaks of the fact that understanding that something very tangible is wrong in today's world, and that gives us the chance to stand our ground in the most unknowing of times. I love when he asks if we remember the feel of the moons glow because I feel that is a reminder to never forget that there was a time when the world was in relative peace. As a true believer, Tyler sees the battle of good versus evil in today's world and that a weapon to protect our hearts from evil is thru music. And he and Josh have been stewards of hope and love to people throughout the world. I thank God that Twenty One Pilots are here, and on October 26th I will have my 1st chance to witness live the pure emotion of the music they create. #LIGHTUPTHEDARKNESSS
