The Salish Voyager's First Float

  • Our new 17' Salish Voyager hit the water for the first time this week! While it's not done quite yet, this first rowing test helped us check the balance and make sure everything is working as designed before we finalize the interior. Even after only a few quick stokes of the oars it was clear... this boat is going to be a stellar traveler for long-distance journeys.

    Hello! Nice looking boat! A question: Is the mast partners structure removable if one chooses not to sail? Thanks!

      No, the mast partner "arch" is a structural element and therefore permanently built in to the sailing version. The rowboat doesn't have it, though.

    Is that a motor mount on the stern? Or just reinforcement for rudder when sailing?

      Rudder board. We can do a motor mount on this boat, though.
