Since this is a "male mold method", the surface after ralease from the mold is not smooth. Glass cloth is used on the surface to make it easier to scrape and to make better finish.
Sorry for late reply. After applying lacquer spray to the balsa, the surface is smoothed with Tamiya putty. It also contributes to hardening the surface.
Thank you for showing the ultrasonic cutter, never seen this method before. Looks like it makes (almost?) no dust, very nice.
Absolutely outstanding. The shrink tube idea is awesome 👌
Your fiberglass work is pretty neat. First I’ve seen done this way but very clean
wow, i learned half a dozen new tips!
Nice video, I've molded quite a few fuselages, but never done one without a mold-this could be useful for my coming solar airplane!
Boa noite parabéns ficou bem bacana.
Great work! Enjoying the build.
Ustalık ve sanat.
Great! keep doing it...
Asking politely, why bother with the glass, and not use the aramid fiber for the whole thing?

awesome... but wear gloves when using acetone
Did you use CA glue to reinforce the pod and close the cut line? Not epoxy?
Right. CA has stronger adhesion than epoxy. I use CA except when I want to fill gaps.
Very nice!!
outstanding videos & thank you. One question. Whats on the other side of that mystery hole were you do your spraying... :)
That is the spray booth. Sprayed air is discharged outdoors by a fan inside of the booth.
Great video, will help me to cratea ndw snipe pod.
Way u not made it from carbon?
Can u do a video about how u made the fiber canopy please?
Carbon material interferes with radio waves.
Great videos. What is that plastic material at about 7:00 that CA doesn't stick to? Thanks.
Those are polyethylene sheets (0.04-0.07mm )
excellent ! what kind of glue do you use at minute 7.16 ? Cianoacrilato? thanks
Right. That is Cyanoacrylate.
What do you use over the balsa to make it a hard surface? I'm going to build a plug today so I can try this. Arigato gozaimasu

@@kousakunin2008 awesome 👍🏼 thank you. Your videos are a good inspiration and you make it look easy 😃
