Danmachi was never family friendly light comedy. The Light Novel has always been more serious and darker. The anime added more comedy and ecchi moments to the series than is in the novel.
Yea, it is a lot darken in novel but i think it was mistaken bc. 1.season was so light but it was darker before too but is wasn´t that pointed out before. I mean in season 1 that elf´s whole familia was killed in dungen by another familia but there wasn´t scenes about that only their memorial for them on 18.floor.
Yeah. Most awful things that happen in the dungeon are just hinted in season 1. Plus the monster parade that some adventurers do on purpose and many end up killed, and the thing with the Soma familia where they behave as addicts... ahh and the luring of monsters on purpose leaving adventurers to die... when was Danmachi PG?

Oh by the way the killing stone if shattered , can be put together again , - but even if you had all the pieces, the mind of the person can and may still fractured, so would have to be looked after the rest of there life .

They left out quite a bit of information from the books, - like Mikoto having a skill to detect familia members, so she felt something/someone when searching for bell - which turns out to be the hestia knife ( it’s alive and considered a familia member) and the fact she’s using ninja skills which at this point in the story she hates .
@WeeItsNookies When Hephaestus makes the Hestia Knife she tells Hestia that it's alive and will grow with Bell. That's also why when other people try to use it it's extremely dull.

I think you guys missed the detail that Syr, the silver haired girl that works for Big Mom, gave bell the pendant that saved his life in the War Game. They did a close up on the pendant and it was blessed by Freya. Syr already interrogated Hermes in the pub.

@@cmls227 Tome 7 covers Haruhime's Arc, so either you start there or go to Tome 8, which covers a whole lot of side stories that I don't think will be in the anime. Those are actually a good start for Tome 9, which is the start of a bigger plot. So either 8 or 9 will do.
Dude, Danmachi wasn't always purely light hearted. Lilly's story was about how she was abused all her life. Ryu's entire Familia was slaughtered and she went on a revenge spree. The whole series is Bell growing and having to be less naive as an Adventurer.
Ishtar needs level boosting before she feels she can challenge Freya. So that should tell you how strong Freya is. Remember, the guy who trained the minotaur is Freya's commander. He is the strongest adventurer in Orario.
Nice reaction as always, and I'm also curious where this is gonna go as this episode was a bit darker than I thought. There were many hints since the start of the arc (with the red light district and everything), but it didn't chicken out and showed exactly what's going on, which is good. I think you guy's should check out "Kanata no Astra" btw as its to me the most underrated series of the season by a long shot and its genuinely a good watch.
Yeah, Astra: Lost in Space does a pretty good job of adding small bits of twists that aren't overly dramatic, but just interesting enough to make wonder how it fits in overall picture of the story or characters. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
They actually pull a lot of punches from the LN. The anime has to rush and worry about censors, but the story is incredibly dark. I just started reading the LN last month and they're insane.
@@adartsesolracakab not familiar with it, but basically the gods came down to cure their boredom. They aren't there to fix the world, just fulfill desires. That leads to them using their familia for money, sex, power, gluttony, etc. The adventurer's are also so powerful the only ones that can keep them in check are each other, so they can kind of do whatever they want. The anime tries to play some of it off more lighthearted, but for example when people were laughing at Bell surrounded by amazons they had kidnapped him and were going to gang rape him to death. There's also a strong underground that sells people and all sorts like that. If you want a great example without the story being spoiled look up the background of Tione and Tiona from Loki Familia.

They changed the explanation of the killing stone from the LN. If all the pieces of the killing stone are put back together the soul can be returned to the renard, however if even the tiniest piece is missing then the renard will not be whole and will likely be little more than a drooling child. Ishtar has promised that after Freya is dealt with then Haruhime will get her soul back but the possibility that all the pieces could be recovered after something as chaotic as a war are as close to zero as you can get. So even if Ishtar did intend to keep her word to depower her familia again after the war there is still no chance she could follow through successfully. It is as false of a promise as you can get and everyone knows it.
I am thinking that 2 things are happening in the next episode or 2. First Bel needs to be Tunned again, along with the rest of team Bellphire. Second is do you expect any other self righteous house of good standing to sit idly by to this injustice. do you expect any questionable house to standby and allow such a cheat to occur unobstructed. No, they will have more allies this time even if it is not a game. If my fears come to pass then rescue fails but Freya gets the stones. I doubt this outcome, but it could happen.
I have not read the source but I feel as if S2 had its fun moments cut so they did not end the season midway through the story. Aisha probably wants to be rescued also, but saying those words are not possible after the trauma she went through; so she stated the story and rubbed salt into Bells wounds (verbally), because she wants a war against a house that crushed Appollo without delay with only 5 people... the difference is the Appollo familia liked Appollo and had some real supporters. Ishtar or whatever familia Toad woman is in... yeah not so much. I will state for purpose of example that they have 100 members total not counting Haru-chan or Aisha; so my guess is 5 of the 100 actually at their cores want to be in this familia. I bet if war starts 95 of the 100 could be convinced mid battle to turn coat and attack the few that are the source of all the rests tortures and indignities. Do you agree?
I should point out that Danmachi is a seinin series. This is about as dark as it gets in Danmachi, if there's a season 3 there will be a couple moments about as dark as this.

And yeah volume 10 has that moment, but considering the result I'd say it's about equal to the rape dungeon scene. 13 and even 12 is pretty dark but even severe physical injury is usually considered less dark than rape and human sacrifice.

Amazons value strength above all things so Haruhime being so pathetic as to not fight for her own survival or stand up for herself in any way really rankled Aisha. It was spite that made her destroy the first killing stone, destroying the thing that made such a weakling so important, not a desire to protect Haruhime but a way to spite Ishtar. It is only since then and enduring her own punishment that has softened her heart to Haruhime.
i was just remained yesterday , that the rating system changed thru time, i mean The Wraith (1986) original movie was rated PG13 but when you buy now a BD or DVD version, its rated R, cos in 1986 one scene with a female nipple for 2 seconds and swear words wasn't end of the world.... now, society tries to pretend that under 18 old kids are somehow innocent and don't know swear words, donk know what p-hub is and don't know violence... its an absurd delusion, and they try to pretend its all rainbows and unicorns....
Season 2 is very rushed, I have red it's novel and a lot of part from a volume is missing. I think they did this to nurture the next season. Coz the next season is actually all connected (I mean the whole season 3 is connected).
