I'm not even kidding when I say that the market crash and high inflation have me really stressed out and worried about retirement. I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it, Investing is a long-term game, so I try to focus on the long term.
I cannot focus on the long run when I should be retiring in a few years, you see l've got good companies in my portfolio and a good amount invested, but my profit has been stalling, does it mean this recession/ unstable market doesn't provide any calculated risk opportunities to make profit?
There are a lot of strategies to make tongue wetting profit especially in a down market, but such sophisticated trades can only be carried out by proper market experts
I completely agree, I have been consistent with my profit regardless of the market conditions, I got into the market early 2019 and the constant downtrends and losses discouraged me so I sold off, got back in Dec 2020 this time with guidance from an investment adviser that was recommended by a popular economist on a popular forum, long story short, its been years now and I've gained over $850k following guidance from my investment adviser.

You can also look at the Delta to view your chances of profit. A .10 delta means you have a 90% chance of success. A .30 delta is a 70% chance of success and so on.

Voltilaty is a better predictor of success...with volatility and time give you the best chance to be correct somewhere in a given time frame. You can be wrong 99% of the duration...close when it you are right.

Then the option simply expires worthless and you keep the full premium! That being said, there is always a small chance that you could get assigned on a short option if it goes in the money before expiration, but that chance really is extremely, extremely small.
I am looking forward to being able to sell options. Currently there is no way I can make the collateral for selling them ;( but I appreciate the amazing advice for I think it is for the better I understand both sides of the options market!
Perhaps take a look into the credit spread and iron condor strategies. These are option selling strategies that allow you to put up under $100 of capital if desired.
I'm interested in this seems profitable I'm more like a investor a Hodl never tried the trade option. My question is if I pick a 2 weeks contract or a 1 month contract do I have to wait all that time to do the trade or can I do it Same day or a couple of days after getting it ?
I have Webull but I may just download Robinhood as an options scanner because I love how they have the options area laid out... I wish Webull did the same thing. ESPECIALLY showing you the percentage chance of profit that you'll have when selling calls and puts...

That's actually incorrect: A delta of 0.10 has a roughly 10% chance of expiring ITM, 90% chance of OTM.

I only wanted to ask something. I understand the concept of Standard deviations (SD) and the stock price volatility within them, but I’m not clear on how or where to find the SD value for each specific stock.

he's already explained it, 1 SD away means close to 84% probability you'll see this in Robinhood
glad I popped my iPhone 13 pro max out of the case and flipped it around a little like you. Have to live on the edge sometimes

What happens if the stock goes above the strike before it expires. But then goes below the strike at time of expiration
Then the option simply expires worthless and you keep the full premium! That being said, there is always a small chance that you could get assigned on a short option if it goes in the money before expiration, but that chance really is extremely, extremely small.
Very easy to understand video. I'd like to understand 'Normal distribution curve' in detail please.
I am looking forward to being able to sell options. Currently there is no way I can make the collateral for selling them ;( but I appreciate the amazing advice for I think it is for the better I understand both sides of the options market!
Perhaps take a look into the credit spread and iron condor strategies. These are option selling strategies that allow you to put up under $100 of capital if desired.
I'm interested in this seems profitable I'm more like a investor a Hodl never tried the trade option.
My question is if I pick a 2 weeks contract or a 1 month contract do I have to wait all that time to do the trade or can I do it Same day or a couple of days after getting it ?

I have Webull but I may just download Robinhood as an options scanner because I love how they have the options area laid out... I wish Webull did the same thing. ESPECIALLY showing you the percentage chance of profit that you'll have when selling calls and puts...
