Fluffy baby alpacas are adorable!

You most often see crias holding their tails up in front of other alpacas and people in order not to cause conflicts and to say “I am a baby, don’t be aggressive or hurt me”. Marty clearly is telling you that he is a baby and means no harm.
Marty must think he is a cat. Cats usually hold their tails up when they are happy to see their owners.
For alpacas it’s a sign of submission. Thats good because he’s going to weigh 150 pounds one day!
