Christchurch City Council is urging people to check their wheelie bins have been electronically tagged because soon untagged wheelie bins will stop being emptied.
so why have a system of tagged bins? to charge for the amount of rubbish? there was a rich man in our street who filled every bin in the street late at night with his renovation rubbish to save on having to hire a skip bin. will the residents be expected to pay for his rubbish?
@@southaussiegarbo2054 I don't think the council would care enough about people stealing ur bin to use for their house excess. Says in the video, it's for the council to know which address they come from. And soon they'll stop emptying untagged bins. They then say, "make sure you can identify your bins so they don't get mixed up with the neighbors." Still suspicious it's so they can fine people for putting the wrong thing in there or some other concocted reason to take our money :(
@@lesjohn534 its also so if bin is from say 8 apple street Christchurch but its at 8 banana street Christchurch they will refuse it based off being at wrong address. That's how it works in a council near me with them. Note idk any streets in Christchurch names so used fruits lol
