I was lucky enough to have spent considerable time with the Choctaw Indians around Conehatta, Ms. I have cane baskets from most of the major weavers that I am very proud of. Melvin Henry, a Choctaw white oak basket maker from Philadelphia, Ms was kind enough to teach me how to make white oak baskets. Swamp cane baskets are much harder to make and a very high level of skill is required. I have enjoyed every minute of my friendship with Choctaw Indians.

I am finished with my basket but am having trouble finishing the rim. Is there a way to contact them to learn how to finish the rim?
