@@fitzgerald72 I'm just saying, we are the same age & I saw live every band I listed, except the Beatles, but have seen Paul twice, and lets be serious, I like The Struts & Greta Van Fleet too, but they are warm up bands, not headliners, and not even in the same league as the ones I named, never mind ones like The Doors, Joplin or Hendrix that we would have both heard.
@@HamiltonRb You may be confusing best with favorite. Picking the best band is like picking a best song. You've probably seen more bands than me. My wife sure has. She wrote for a defunct rock mag and has met more rockers that I've ever seen and toured with Jackson Browne for a while. Honestly, I don't remember all the groups. What I'm saying is that The Struts are my favorite band now. Yankton is my favorite country band, but I've seen Cash and they'll never be a Cash. I've seen the Stones, and Gimme Shelter is probably one of my favorite songs. That said, it has been argued that Imagine is perhaps the best song written. It's all a matter of taste. And a matter of time and where that band or tune puts you or takes you. I've seen Ten Years After, Santana, Jethro Tull, Elton John (one of the best concerts I've seen), Jackson Browne (where I first saw my wife), Aerosmith, James Taylor, CSN&Y (although Stills was a solo act and Young was with Joni Mitchell). The beat goes on, as they say. And to each their own.
Gregg Fitzgerald I hear what you are saying and like you, I actually like some of the music acts of today and have seen Greta Van Fleet twice. I worked as stage crew for years so got to see and meet so many artists I couldn’t even guess. The Struts are undeniably incredible (my favorite band now!) But let's give it up to all the people who are dancing and singing along and genuinely enjoying themselves showing the response to the band's performance instead of standing still like robots filming with their phones the whole time! Those are my people, I adore you guys!
Found these guys accidentally 2 days ago from a video of Luke singing Under Pressure with Taylor Hawkins in 2018. Now I'm obsessed, and as luck would have it (for me not them) they just cancelled their So Cal shows (which were meant to be less than 2 weeks ago) because Adam had COVID. I now have tickets for Jan!! Can't believe the chain of event leading to this. Can't wait to see them.

Freddie Mercury and Joan Jett had a love child, and his name is Luke Spiller.
