- Normal Rend Blackhand continues to be a showstopper in Blackrock Mountain, but now I finally have a budget comp that can take it on with no tech Mercs, just regular climbing power that can push through many bounties, including Rend!

I like the idea of revisiting old bounties with new budget/rare comps.
Or even with non-budget comps that work better than the old ones.
Hello Mr Young guardian, thanks a lot for all your helpful guides, I watch them if I can’t manage to kill some bosses on my own. Since Mr. Rend got a buff (because he wasn’t op enough) with 600 health and 25/75 Minions it would be awesome if you could create a new guide since I keep on failing and this is the last heroic bounty I’m missing. Thankyou In Advance
I think CXS would be the cheapest and easiest comp for this one. After boosting Samuro's attack in turn 1, you can counter Rend's assassination mark with whirling blade.
I've tried this and many other comps including your old videos, and it just doesn't work for me. Used this exact comp, with every merc maxed out, even following your attack and ordering exactly as you do it. I haven't been anywhere near bearing the current Rend. One time Rend died and the entire board was filled with the left caster minion, that's the closest try.

Not sure if it is as budget but I had a super easy time with Nemsy (Bog Moss), Trigore (Razor Claw), Baine (Totemic Mastery), swapping to Elise (equip irrelevant) for the boss. Super easy and safe climb by using Nemsy's 3 to taunt up Baine, switching to Elise if there are a ton of casters. For Rend I just did the same, focusing on the left one that doesn't enrage just to be safe but had Elise as my third and would go treasure hunt into heal if needed. Bench was Cookie for appetizers and Diablo as an uh-oh button. I didn't get anything too insane for RNG loot, just +nat damage, can't be crit on Baine lol and a few others, opting for defensive options.
If any deaths, Baine was pretty much there for his aoe but elise didn't even drop ^^;;
seems liked changed bramblethorn totem. But I can't believe I'm jsut going to be stuck on rend forever. Mercenaries was fun while it lasted. This boss is just assblasting me
Monster heart treasure on trigore makes this fight trivisl
My trigore had less health than my Baine :\ Rend snowballs to full board of minions that then kill Baine before he gets Earthmother's Fury off.
I finally managed to kill it with this comp! It took a little leveling my equipment and awesome upgrades!

Why? Cause she has a treasure called "hysteria"
I had an idea to combine this bounty and the treasure, and it proved it's brilliance
The Problem on Hysteria is . 1 Proparly it dont work by Bosses , maybe it does 2. It attack your own Minions too , so if the 30/30 one attack your minions you are fucked.. because the one cant get damage.
To make it short: I can not comprehend what you are trying to say, but when it comes to issues, in reality it has only two:
1. You should have at least 4 members alive to be 100% sure in completing
2. You must be lucky enough to catch this treasure
As i said, i've done it that way, with a starter team, to be more precise
I tried Rend with the BaineGore deck in this video like 100 times to no avail. IMO, it doesn't give any advantage in the boss fight. You can't escape the "kill the highest attack enemy" skill Rend does. I think it works in the video because Old Guardian has all skills maxed, and you can see that his cards have super high stats due to some specific treasures.
HOWEVER I did manage to win with Xyrella with Hysteria treasure + Samuro with Spirit Blade treasure. The trick is the following:
1. Hysteria requires 2 turns to use, so you need Xyrella and Samuro to alive until then.
2. On second turn Rend does the kill the highest damage card move. Use Whirling Blade on Samuro to become immune to it (it should be the card with highest attack).
3. On third turn use Hysteria on Samuro. If Samuro has Spirit Blade treasure, he will be immune when attacking and he will destroy Rend.
4. Defeat remaining mobs. win.
My deck was: Baine, Trigore, Niuzao, Xyrella, Samuro, Rokara (kind of a combination of both of Old Guardian's Rend decks lol)

Can Baine be subbed with anyone else? I have Cornelius, Cariel and Vanndar and Malfurion maxed. Cairne and King Mukala mid.
Or if he could be subbed with a non-protector, I got Samuro and Anaconda maxed, Mutanus almost there...
I experimented with quite a few things when I built Bainegore, but the current trio is just the best.
@@OldGuardian I was finally able to do it with a weak Baine (default equipment and only 1/3/1) by avoiding the execute and having an additional +9 damage resist in treasures. I avoided the execute by attacking with Trigore on those turns, and shielding with Niz. The damage resist was so strong that I finished with all three protectors still up. It took longer because I had to juggle that execute, and I actually had to have Baine smash into higher-attack minions, otherwise he wasn't taking and damage and triggering Trigore.
Thanks for the idea. I have no idea how I'm gonna beat this on heroic, lol.
