  • Both the sights and the sounds of Pentecost are echoes of God’s presence coming to reside in the tabernacle and the temple. Now that the Messiah had been enthroned in heaven, God dedicated his new glorious temple. Surprisingly, it was a temple unlike anyone had ever seen. It was a temple of “living stones.” The followers of Jesus became-and continue to be-the temple of God. So, what are the implications of being God’s temple today?

    PRIMARY TEXT FOR THIS MESSAGE:
“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4, ESV)
