    jeffrey dahmer did horrible things and everything that he did was no ones fault other them his own. But I do think a lot of people turn a blind eye to him. and if he had been given the mental help he needed from the beginning some of the terrible things he did could have been avoided. i don't defend him or his horrible actions in any way tho just think people like the police should have done their job

      I actually think his parents were mostly at fault. They should've paid more attention to him and his behavior. Parental love is so important for children. I think you can clearly tell the difference between a child who got a good amount of parental love and a child who didn't. But the police was obviously at fault as well

    • @Msnlxt
      @Msnlxt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Exactly I agree with you. This is a good example of what can happen to the child due to neglecting and bad parenting. In dahmer's case, what he did was straight up disgusting but had he received good care and medical help, things could have been better. After all, no child is a killer. Rip to the poor victims

      His father was the only one who showed him love. His mother? While I’m sure she did love him deep down, did abandon him and didn’t really show him attention. Jeff did do horrible things and had what was coming to him. But deep down, you could tell he didn’t want to kill anyone and wanted help, but no one did anything, that’s why he kept on killing. If he would’ve gotten mental help and was shown some love and acceptance, the killings wouldn’t have happened. But the system failed. Jeff ruined his own life and other peoples life’s. But in the end, at least he confessed to what he knew that it was all his fault. He didn’t blame anyone or anything for his actions. Just himself. He took responsibility for his crimes.

    • @Sakura77488
      @Sakura77488 2 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      Yeah, people shouldn't make any excuses for him to try and justify anything. If there are people out there doing that, it's sick. I don't understand why people would do that. What's kind of ironic though is that Dahmer himself would have disagreed with those people, because he blamed himself entirely and never wanted to make any excuses or point fingers. He even wanted to die, and eventually got that in the end.
      However there are lots of people that are interested in researching what made him the way he was (I'm one of those), because from a psychological point of view he's actually a very interesting and from what I've discovered he suffered from a mixture of conditions and mental illnesses and really needed help, which I think is tragic because these murders could have been prevented. But despite all of that it doesn't change the fact that what he did was horrendous. We can learn to understand the motives but should never use it as justification for his crimes.

    • @rhiannaadah1902
      @rhiannaadah1902 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      but the fact he was so horribly treated back then contributes to what he did. it’s called trauma. when somebody has years of built up trauma and they don’t ever try and get help, they get pent up anger. anger for whatever happened because they feel they can’t control it. they feel like it’s all their faults that, jeffereys case, the reason their all alone is their fault. tbh, these people need Jesus in their life’s.

      Agreed, lots of people grew up in messed up households but don't end up as monsters like Dahmer. There's no excuse for what he did he was just simply evil, I think the one decent thing he did was take full responsibility for the things he did and did everything he could to help identify all of the victims and help the families find some form of closure.

Dont romanticise Dahmer just because Evan Peters is the face in this show! Every day, since I was 10, I've struggled with the same malevolent and sexually depraved urges and fantasies as he did, only the love of my mother and my little sister keep me decent, but there was one time years ago (I was 19) when I was so determined to act on my fantasies, that I stalked potential victims and even bought the tools I thought I would need for my new "hobby", but I told my mom what I was dealing with (though I spared her the most gutwrenching details of my plans), and she stopped me. I'll never stop having these dark side, so I'll always feel a very personal, strong sympathy for guys like him.

      I understand that we can feel sorry for him at certain points…but the mofo was crazy. He had let himself go and took the lives of others. That’s when it crosses the line and that’s when WE don’t make excuses for them.
      Yes, they used a good looking actor but know the difference between acting and real life. That goes for the real life interviews too. He sounds gentle and likeable but only if you could see the face he had before he killed his victims. Only his victims saw it and they took it to their grave. But that’s the true face of a monster. That’s what he became. That’s what he is.
      We may feel sorry for him because we are kinder souls that wants to see the best in everybody. But know who’s side your on. He for sure won’t see you as nothing more than an object.
      Instead of getting stuck on him, do something for the victims families.

    I'm gonna drop my analysis based on this series I've watched.
    He was one of the serial killers who actually didn't show any pleasure from the ACT OF KILLING. He admitted in his interviews he wanted to inflict as little as pain as possible while murdering the victims. He just had this sexual pleasure from the bodies itself, one of the main reason he was always intoxicated or drunk when killing them. And what I also believed why he ate some body parts or kept them. There are many few reasons why he did all these gruesome things. His parent's neglection, problems regarding to his sexuality and others that you can think off. But what honestly some few people overlooked is his exposure to pornography. From what I believe it's also partially from genetics. His behavior was odd ever since he was a kid, just got more twisted.
    This analysis btw does not mean i condone any of his actions disturbing and vile killings in his later life. This was simply stating the causes of his behavior. I dont want to see any unnecessary dumbasses arguing with me that I support him. If you want to change some points here feel free to do so.

His story is awareness to us.. don't trust strangers don't go into their home and don't drink anything.. and plus watch ur kids and care and give all ur love and caring to them then only they will become good human it's actually parent duty to take care of their kids..

    This is so F****** sad. Everyone makes him out as this evil a** killer and i mean yeah, the things he did were horrible, but its honestly mostly not even his fault and he couldnt even help it! He hated himself and he wanted to die. He didnt get very much attention because he had bad mom, his dad was gone most of the time and the time his mom did take was mostly to his brother. His dad took him out to dissect roadkill, his mom was on a million pills while pregnant. And while all of this is happening its affecting him greatly and also is struggling with being homosexual while his family is saying he should go find a girlfriend. He developes a drinking problem and was having compulsive thoughts. Im almost sure he had depression and maybe even trust issues and/or anxiety. I could keep going on about all of these things but i think you get the point. I mean then his mom just left him and never came back. During that time he killed someone for the first time and he didnt even mean to. He resisted his compulsive thoughts to kill people for nine years. He even does all these things to try to stop himself which proves that he cares. After nine years he killed someone on accident AGAIN and after that it just triggered him. He even tried to dig up a dead body to try to stop himself from killing more people but that didnt work out so he eneded up killing a bunch more people. He knew it was wrong and he didnt want to do any of it but he couldn't help himself. He got caught finally and went to jail. He repeatedly asked them to give him the electric chair because he knew what he did was horrible and he thought he didnt deserve to live. He thought that it was all his fault and he was the only person to blame for those killings which if you still think that is true i guess read this comment all over again and rewatch this video because its not. He was a really nice person in jail as he was not aloud to give into his compulsions and drink. He also returned to god (even though I don't believe in god i still value everyones religion and i was happy for him) and got baptized. Out of all his jail time, he seemed the happiest at this point. He ended up getting beaten to death by another inmate after finding out what he did and that was the end of Jeffrey Dahmer. Overall, it wasnt completely his fault he was very emotionally damaged and sick. Dont get me wrong im not trying to say that all the things he did were okay, i think they were horrible things and those men didnt deserve that, im just trying to say that hes not 'evil'. If you have made it through this whole comment tysm i know you really care. RIP Jeffrey Dahmer and most of all RIP all of his victims.❤😢

      I don't think you understand why people make these. It's not because they love the murderer the content creators justify that. Nobody likes him nobody ever did. We all know for a fact, what he did is terrible and wrong. And when they made a show about it people really liked the way Evan Peters played that role. How can you be so sure they aren't just a fan?? An edit about a show involving a notorious murder does not mean they idolize or respect that person.
