I recently purchased a Volvo with auto high beams. With oncoming traffic the lights don’t dim quickly enough that I constantly have oncoming traffic flashing for me to dim my lights. How could this be corrected? Camera out of alignment? Previously owned a Ford and worked flawlessly.
Thare cool head lights we have a rental car and it has it and it is so cool thank you for showing us how thay work i was curious about it and i looked it up and you were the first video that i saw and i clicked on it and it told us how thank you
Is there a way to lower the vehicles speed at which the auto high beam feature reacts on a 2019 pilot. This feature on my pilot doesn't initiate until 35 mph, which doesn't help when I'm driving at much lower speeds, as through a neighborhood.
Can you help, when I put my car in reverse in the dark, the infotainment screen stays in daylight mode. I wondered if it is the light sensor causing this.
There may be a way to adjust the sensitivity; if there is, the owner's manual should have that information. Sometimes all they have is the sensitivity for the automatic headlights, though.
Hey how do i look up to see if my engine is non interference or interference? I watched one of your older video and still dont know if my dodge ram 50 1987 2.0 is non interference or interference. Can you plz help me?
I looked it up and based on the first result I found, it appears that it is an interference engine. Also, I've answered this question on camera in a video coming out on Saturday.
The first vehicle I had with this feature was a 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited and I absolutely hated the feature so I turned it off. It never reacted fast enough and more often than not I was blinding people coming the other way and would get flashed by these oncoming cars regularly.
When I was using the feature it gave me anxiety with how much it waited before switching the high beams off. How well it works seems to also depend on ambient lighting conditions. I've stopped using it, too.
My China's Geely Bo Yue yr 2020 is just like this, never reacts fast enough so I also ended up switching off the function but my Mercedes yr 2014 , the auto high beam works superbly.
Is there any basic model of the ECU or automatic high beam system that I could purchase online? I would like to personally modify my vehicle that doesn't have automatic high beams into one that does.
But on oncoming traffic has high beams on and on ours auto high beams It turns off high beams then we will become blind know on coming traffic dosn't look in to it 😅 If the oncoming traffic has highbeams on then our high beams can cancel the blinding effect .
Bought a BMW with this recently, incredibly good feature. Must have spec on future cars.

My Crosstrek doesn't have these only automatic low beams. I have to get use to them by using them!

very cool, quality video
Can the sensitivity be adjusted in an ECU somehow?

I have a small box wire to my rear view mirror( ford f150 2010 4x4) What is it?
Why do automatic high beam switch to low beam at intersections when no other cars are present?

I’d want to know that too if it’s possible
