Seemed that turbo would be the most cost effective gains.. we’ve run this car now and the top end seems toast. So engine swap it is! Maybe M52 or K series Honda 🫣🤔
I build this e30 m3 touring conversion . she is made with love from good bmw people . please take care of her . she " casablanca " would love a s50 for sure . will follow . all the best either way . cheers .
Oh very cool! We will take great care of Casablanca. Perhaps you could shed some light on the engine, it’s running rough and won’t produce any power/ won’t pull past 2500rpm outside of 1st and 2nd gear.. seems like the top end is tired
@@AutoAfflicted "These engines aren't powerful at all, but they're great on gas and will never break down. I drove this one to Boston and back from New York with zero issues. It's a cruiser with the engine. I sold it about two years ago, and it was running perfectly, so I can't tell you what the issues might be. Just buy an M54 3.0 engine and drop it in... end of story. It brought a smile to my face to see it. Cheers!"
We can put it all together for you - car is like $23k with bodywork and paint - currently we’re fitting an s52 motor with trans and LSD @ a cost of $15k & Maxload / air ride suspension @ $6k and custom BBS wheels @ $4k .. so somewhere between $23k and $48k - email us AutoAfflicted@gmail.com

I would personally go for an engine swap. I’ve a M40 myself and financing wise it isn’t the smartest to turbo it or go itb route love the content!
