The presentation I wrote for this video is available through my webpage at math.la.asu.edu/~lanchier/files/chapter-02.pdf. This video is part of the playlist th-cam.com/play/PLV3oHJg9b1NTq__sC8VTReaDs-1nWFx9z.html that covers my book Stochastic Modeling (Springer).
I am taking a measure theoretical probability course and my lecturer is from a pure math background. They thinks giving intuition or concrete examples is not useful and I feel like I am not learning anything other than just very abstract proof...your video helps a lot with grounding my understanding and cover a lot of details that my lecturer deems "trivial" Thank you so much!!
Thank you for your comment. I am glad those videos help. I agree with you. All the mathematicians like Lebesgue who created new branches of math had a very clear/concrete motivation in mind. Pure math is already difficult enough. It's sad that most people teaching this stuff make it even more difficult by focusing on the concepts and ignoring the intuition behind them.
I randomly stumbled upon your channel on TH-cam while trying to learn probability on my own. I absolutely love your teaching method and can't wait to start this one as soon as I am done with your probability playlist. Thank you professor!.
Thanks! I have 10 presentations like these ones that I wrote for my students so my plan is to record 8 more videos like those ones. But it's going to take some time because I am busy with my kids, research, etc.
Sorry about that. It's working fine on my side so I am not sure what's going on. It seems that you sent your comment only a few seconds after I uploaded the video. Maybe it was too early and now it's working?

I have been self-studying probability theory following your valuable channel for several years. Thank you.
👍😊

Great!
Thank you, these last two videos have been a godsend!

I can hear you now. It's all good now. Thank you for your work!
