Clinton didn't come to his rescue in any way by applying maximum pressure and sanctions on Nigeria for Abiola to be released.. Imagine if Trump was in power and Abiola called him for support.. The maximum sanctions against Nigeria would have brought Abacha to his senses to release Abiola sharply..

There's no need to politicize or sectorize the victory. I'm a yoruba man but I believe it's a victory for all well-meaning Nigerians. Please let's cease to put one another along ethno-religious divide, it wouldn't take us anywhere. Thanks
