1080p HD!
A busy Saturday afternoon on the Brighton Mainline between East Croydon & Redhill at Purley & Purley Oaks. Due to planned engineering work this weekend South Eastern services were running an amended timetable with half hourly service from London Bridge to Hastings via East Croydon, Redhill and Tonbridge. So as well as the usual congestion along this route, throw in two extra services in each direction as well as a person been hit by a train at East Croydon station earlier in the day. Quite a lot to see, lots of congestion and disruption.
INCLUDES: Gatwick Express class 442's, South Eastern 375's, Southern 455's & 377's and Thameslink 387's & 377's!
Not filmed along this route for a while so thought I'd get some footage from the Suburban network.
Thanks for watching

Great Video
Why was the Southeastern on Diversion. Never seen anything like this
Cartoon Man Bruh engineering works at Southeastern platforms of London Bridge so only southeastern trains from there run on the hastings line on southern platforms

Purley oaks

@@beta.3984 nope purley is in london
@@PGATProductions historically it was Surrey.
@@beta.3984still is
why aren't they any 465's?
southeastern failways only 375 go on the railway cause they look like the 377 the 465 went via Chatham lol
southeasten railway service the 375s run most of the mainline services. 465 were running on that day through Chatham, in the London Suburbs and on Tonbridge-Victoria shuttles via Sevenoaks
I'd really like to see mainline 465s too, their very nice trains
HOOOOOOOOLF THE HELL UP !!!!! 2ND GEN ELECTROSTARS ON THE FAST LINE!!!! Nowadays they only do slow /metro routes, they are arguably quicker to accelerate than the older electrostars and yet in the year of 2022 they are being used as metro/sluggers...SHESSH!!
At the time, Mk2 377s were often used on weekend Victoria-Brighton services. I believe that practice ended in around 2018/19, but I have occasionally seen them on Sunday London Bridge-Brightons on days when the line to Victoria was closed.
I haven't noticed any difference in acceleration between Mk1 and Mk2 377s, but I my opinion the Mk2s have much harder seats and are thus less suited to mainline services.
@@LondonTransport466 the mk2s seem to be more fater off the mark and steadier acceleration . But that's because i tend to use a speedo . And thanks for that info. I'm not sure why they decided to stop using them
