Thanks guys for this-I watched it a long time ago and it was a huge help. Then I bought a new laptop and you’d have that the world had shifted polarity- my prints were coming out like cr*p, the ICC profiles were missing, Adobe is telling me my images are in a mismatched color space and asking me to choose…it’s been a mess. I redownloaded the ICCs, I even made the mistake of fiddling with the calibration of my old monitor. So I decided to come back and find and watch this video again. ❤❤❤ THANKS HEAPS.
Just got my ET8550. I am excited to learn from you. I do watercolor painting and make greeting cards. I've always struggled with getting consistent color. Loved the tip about just printing a small part at a time to save paper and ink. Thank you so much.
Thank you, for sharing these tips! I have an Epson 1720 and I print in Crest Letra paper or Watercolor Paper,. I would love to print invitations from the paper tray versus the rear tray to avoid feeding one paper at a time. I do notice I run out of ink very quickly. The artwork prints out very bold/saturated. I can’t wait to try out your technique.
We were using hot press bright but the one by one sheet feeding was killing our operations. We use a thinner paper now for both cards and prints that still has good quality and auto feed is where its at :)
We have the epson 900. Whenever we set it to borderless, it NEVER prints straight and causes there to always be a sliver of white on one of the edges. Have you run into that at all? Any tips?
Great videos with so many golden nudgets you have shared. I have P800 and currently on the latest MacOS 11. My photoshop print default presets kept showing ink use to be photo black. Therefore everytime I send a print from iMac it changes to photo black even though I had manually change it to matte black on the printer console itself. When I do air print from my phone, the printer will print the correct matte black instead of photo black. Q is, how can I change the ink selection from my PS in iMac? Ie print settings>Color >ink matte black instead of photo black showing
Thank you for the helpful tips! I'm watching so many of your videos now and learning. Also love the watercolor artwork! :) Although I am pulling my hair out because of my Epson P800 'Printer Settings' show simpler settings than what you're showing on video. I use it on my Mac with Photoshop. I don't see any of the ICC profiles showing on Photoshop 'Printer Profiles' and can't seem to figure out where to place them in Files. Any comment or help appreciated. I also deleted my printer and re-installed it on Mac thinking the OS update might have something to do with it but no luck.😭 Any help or comment appreciated! Thanks again!
Your videos are so helpful, thank you! I've recently bought a canon in the Pixma range, and am having issues with printing on cardstock. It's not that it can't handle the card (it does this very well!), but it seems no matter what cardstock I use, the ink really bleeds and is absorbed into it way too much, making all the edges of my design look blurry! I've tried so many of the settings, but still can't figure out if there is any way to prevent this from happening so much. Have you ever experienced this issue? Or do you have any tips when it comes to this?
Not too familiar with your printer unfortunately. You can check out our cardstock video to see the papers we use that correspond with the settings in this vid. Best of luck.
X-Rite,, buy the home studio , colour monkey or x-rite-pro,,, do you r own icc profile,, i have fantastic results with every media i use,,, downloadable icc profiles are "near" but not as accurate as a bespoke inhouse - calibrated icc for your printers' heads,,
Thank you for going over these, so helpful! Do you use uncoated cardstock with your SC-P800 or are you getting coated inkjet paper? I have the PRO-100, which is a dye printer, and tried printing on uncoated watercolour paper and results were disappointing - muted dull colours and dotty patterns. Wonder if a pigment printer would produce much better results on uncoated paper. Thanks!
I use coated matte paper for my prints and uncoated linen card stock for my cards. Although the art on my card stock isn’t as vibrant as the prints, it’s not noticeably dull as seen in the video. That said I’ve also printed on watercolor paper before and got less than stellar results.
S F, I'm using Pro-100 too, and the same card stock Easy Sunday Club is using for their cards (I followed their recommendation:)), and I'm very satisfied with the results.

I Like the idea of test printing in small sizes on the same piece of paper. Thank you so much!

Where do i find the hot press profile?
Hey! Great Video. One question: Why don't you use CMYK as color space?
CMYK is still the way to go! Our printer does a great job of converting so we don’t see a difference in our prints with either setting.
Wouldn't using CMYK distill the colors down to a smaller color gamut?

@@Doritstudio Thanks for chiming in!
Will these settings work on Epson EcoTank ET-2760 ?
What would you choose under color management if you design your cards in Adobe Illustrator? Printer manages color or Photoshop? Thanks
Have not tried it with Illustrator. Would try the Photoshop / Illustrator method first. If doesn't work would try the printer manages color.
Hi! I love your tuto. I would like to know wish scanner do you use?
Epson v600. We go through scanning here th-cam.com/video/KwCJCU00iV0/w-d-xo.html
