I understand the quarter scale Mk43 did a very nice job covering them. I think the Mk42, 43, 45 and 46 rely upon a lot of common design, so the shortfalls propagate across all the models. Danoby you say that the repulser blast makes it look fake and action figure-like. Not to be mean but the poses you have for most of your figures already make them look toyish. Gotta do better if you really want your figures to seem real.
Hey check both chest plates and maybe the body itself for any plastic excess on the tabs and in the tab ports. I had the same problem with Starboost armor. The battery cover on the wrists would pop off, because of tiny bit of plastic left from casting. Exacto knife took care of it.

I had got the diecast mark 42 and it looks great on display. The mark 45 looks good, and has a real smooth and sleek look to it. They should have known to do better with the chest piece staying attached, smh Great review the Danoby!
You may want to look into the Soap Studio Reactor for your figures. I have not tried it myself, but from what I can tell it is a box hooked up to a power supply, to which you plug in a series of small battery-shaped electrical contacts on very thin wires. So you would place the contact/block inside your battery compartment, have the wire trailing out of the side discretely and then the box can turn all of the batteries on or off at once. They are a little pricey but the results look impressive-finally, the ability to turn all the lights on with one button, and an optional remote.
The figure looks great, Hot toys should have gave more accessories. I saw Striker and Silver Centurion in person at a toy shop here in Vegas, there priced up a notch, they also had Bones
Hope I made the right choice with this piece being my first iron man. Gave up collecting a few years back and had the mark 7 but of all the diecast pieces I decided this was the one to start with!? The mark 43 was just so costly although came up at around about the same price.

Maybe it's just me I guess, I like mark 46 better than this one and the main reason is there not much accessories for this mark 45 and my main reason isthe faceplate is kind of weird than any other iron man faceplate, the original 7, Red Snapper, Igor, Silver Centurion, Starboost, Shotgun, Mark 41, 42, 43, 44, and 46. Danoby2, what your thought on the faceplate of Mark 45?
I know there are two versions, standard and sideshow exclusive editions. what are the differences between these two editions? I really cannot find the differences online but the sticker on the artbox

Now see about the battledamage chest piece since that was like the only prominent area that was damaged on that suit great in the fight against ultron gotta love that vibranium right! Great looking suit to me better than the mk46 I'm sorry to see that the chest keeps popping off and the calf plate piece pop off brought tears to my eyes!(hoping that doesn't happen with mine cause I get pissed off easily with issues so little like that) Guy I bought it from said it's being released in Sept. Sleek design was also a nice feature i really liked... and then they went back to their previous designs for the civil war armor... which i was dissapointed in. It was nice, but not as nice as the 45. Oh and Danoby, perhaps you got a defective figure...
Its not Hot Toys' fault I think it's just an issue with yours. I've seen plenty of other chests snap into place with the mk.45. I personally would lije to have no removable chest unless it's snaps on tight . But I remember watching a review and someone had to use the tool to un attach both.
The way you pulled the shoulders all the way out was ridiculous. We can clearly see earlier in your video that they are flush against the figure when not pulled out for articulation.

I know what you mean about wanting a mini movie accurate collectible, the reason I don't collect 1/4 hot toys (aside from ridiculous price) is that i actually like the 1/6 scale, I like seeing small details on things. If I want a 1/4 for that $$ range I will buy a statue of which I have many. That brings me to this point: as a 12" ARTICULATED figure you will not get around seeing joints. PERIOD. DEAL WITH IT. The other suits may have hid joints better, but I still think this one is engineered to perfection given the suit design. As collectors, when figs aren't articulated enough, we bitch, and when they are nicely articulated and have visible joints, we also bitch. Long story short, stop bitching. I think you will find that the new civil war suit may also still have the joints you hate so much, but the end result means you can pose it more dynamically so it's always going to be a trade off.
Thats the problem there, as collectors we deal and accept it all the time. Not really forcing Hot Toys to be creative and intuitive with there final products.

Hey Danoby2 oh boy do I have a funny story about how I got this figure. So I’m bitching and moaning about the high school prom because my senior prom I got into a fight with a friend and at the dance I was super pissed off. So cut to four years Later which is 2016 which is when this figure was released, I’m still pissed off about it so my Grandmother is tired of my complaining she finally snaps and screams out “that’s it! If I buy you the Iron Man Mark 45 will that shut you up!?” And it did. Just thought I’d share that with you lol. And that is how I got the Mark 45.
Pretty sure you broke the ankle panel when you were ripping off the plastic. It also looks like you broke off the chest support early on in the video, you are moving the arm in a way the the instruction booklet tells you not to. I know you don't like reading the booklets, but you clearly need to start doing that if you want to keep doing "visual tours".
+Bespin Cloudcity I suspected that I might have broken the flap when I was ripping the plastic off, but that wasn't the case since I did the unboxing on camera and was able to review the footage. The flap fell off when I laid the figure flat on the table. The chest piece is defective since I've had 2 others tell me similar cases.
I stopped buying the Ironman hot toys I have 5 Ironman figures plus Iron Patriot and War Machine die cast I like the Iron Patriot. Other than that most of them are repaints and what you get for your money is not worth it anymore to me. I have a total of 15 different hot toys I like the two jokers I have both Jack Nicholson's the best joker everrrr!
I feel that hot toys are becoming a victim of there success and since their popping out more and more figures than ever before it seems that quality is starting to suffer.

I am just like you bro. I just received my Mark 47 and honestly....i am totally disappointed. Let ne tell you first, that here in europe usa prices doesn't exist. I paid 450€ for that figure and for that kind of money I personally expected a loooot more = better quality !!! Instead of better quality I received issues with the magnets, parts from cheap,totally cheap plastic Instead of some nice polycarbonate material or something similar. I expected at least the chest plate and the face plate to be die cast made. No. The same 1$store cheap plastic. Feels cheap and looks cheap. Batteries? In 2021 batteries ! I can buy a 10€ flashlight with USB port,but my figure for 450€ is using batteries. Huge disappointment 👎 A lot of gaps 👎👎👎 Why Hot Toys, why ? We are paying a lot of money for your figures and at the end....action figure with some metal parts and that's it. Of course everything is my personal opinion.
Sorry to say man, I enjoyed your videos in the past, but you have become more and more negative about the products, I feel like you went into this review focusing mostly on the bad. This is one of the favorite figures in the collector community since it released but your opinion seems to go the other way and yet you continue to purchase them. Sorry mate it comes off pretty hypocritical and it's one of the reasons I am no longer subscribed to your channel. In my opinion if you feel like you can do a better job making highly detailed, painted, articulated and movie accurate figures like these then jump and create your own high end company bro, or at least tone down the negativity and focus on the beauty in these small wonders...
Danoby2 I did see that one, listen man its not a shot at you, just saying for a long time there you had some videos and comments that focused mainly on what they got wrong as opposed to focusing on what they have improved, not saying that they are perfect in any way and they can sure learn from other companies and even customized figures, and they do have plenty of QC issues raining down as of late but it would be nice to see videos about you actually enjoying these guys... just like the new War Machine, that's a pretty good video which I enjoyed... I love my Mk45, it may not be perfect by it's pretty damn close to it... and that issue with your chest pieces popping off, I'd get that replaced or repaired because that was the first 45 I ever saw that happen to...

Mark 45....43 is a color swap of the 42 no unique design
The design of the Mark 45 is superior to the Mark 43 design imo. The Mark 45 has similarities t the Bleeding Edge armor.

+Bespin Cloudcity I suspected that I might have broken the flap when I was ripping the plastic off, but that wasn't the case since I did the unboxing on camera and was able to review the footage. The flap fell off when I laid the figure flat on the table. The chest piece is defective since I've had 2 others tell me similar cases.
why the dislikes??
I stopped buying the Ironman hot toys I have 5 Ironman figures plus Iron Patriot and War Machine die cast I like the Iron Patriot. Other than that most of them are repaints and what you get for your money is not worth it anymore to me. I have a total of 15 different hot toys I like the two jokers I have both Jack Nicholson's the best joker everrrr!
the quality issues with this figure are shocking.
hot toys need to pull their socks up and stop milking us collectors for every penny they can get.
There are no quality issues. The only objective issue is the tacked on chest piece

I feel that hot toys are becoming a victim of there success and since their popping out more and more figures than ever before it seems that quality is starting to suffer.
The quality of this is great. No clue how he broke that ankle piece off. Probably being way to rough with the ankles
Sorry but watching you handling this it looks cheap, I mean you pay over 300 bucks and you have to crazy glue parts back on that's why I have stopped buying these. Two of these and one can buy and AR-15 and have fun at the range...lol

Hot Toys is some sort of a joke. Pieces falling apart right out the box, poor design of the chestplate, and look no headsculpt again. Sorry, but not for this price Hot Toys, not for this price....

I just received my Mark 47 and honestly....i am totally disappointed.
Let ne tell you first, that here in europe usa prices doesn't exist.
I paid 450€ for that figure and for that kind of money I personally expected a loooot more = better quality !!!
Instead of better quality I received issues with the magnets, parts from cheap,totally cheap plastic Instead of some nice polycarbonate material or something similar.
I expected at least the chest plate and the face plate to be die cast made.

I can buy a 10€ flashlight with USB port,but my figure for 450€ is using batteries.

We are paying a lot of money for your figures and at the end....action figure with some metal parts and that's it.

Sorry to say man, I enjoyed your videos in the past, but you have become more and more negative about the products, I feel like you went into this review focusing mostly on the bad. This is one of the favorite figures in the collector community since it released but your opinion seems to go the other way and yet you continue to purchase them. Sorry mate it comes off pretty hypocritical and it's one of the reasons I am no longer subscribed to your channel. In my opinion if you feel like you can do a better job making highly detailed, painted, articulated and movie accurate figures like these then jump and create your own high end company bro, or at least tone down the negativity and focus on the beauty in these small wonders...

Danoby2 I did see that one, listen man its not a shot at you, just saying for a long time there you had some videos and comments that focused mainly on what they got wrong as opposed to focusing on what they have improved, not saying that they are perfect in any way and they can sure learn from other companies and even customized figures, and they do have plenty of QC issues raining down as of late but it would be nice to see videos about you actually enjoying these guys... just like the new War Machine, that's a pretty good video which I enjoyed... I love my Mk45, it may not be perfect by it's pretty damn close to it... and that issue with your chest pieces popping off, I'd get that replaced or repaired because that was the first 45 I ever saw that happen to...
