- We are so excited for all the of the new adventures we have coming up but that does mean we need to shuffle things around a bit. First off, YES, we got a van and we love it! We also need to start shopping for the things we'll need to make our RV work for our big family. Seems like the local flea market is a great place to start!

Could you do a homeschool routine like you did in the RV? I think it would be interesting to see because I’m around Pearl and Esther’s age and it would be really cool to see what it’s like being homeschooled in a day.
For the French press, what you should is pour in 2 mugs of water a c male a mark a little above it. That way you will know how much water to add she you are making your drink. It does sound delicious.

I find it super interesting how home decor can vary from person to person! For me I prefer not to hang any decor on my walls, but for you, you have a very elaborate bookshelf very full! But yet I absolutely love it! I love the way you decorate your house! It is stunning!

I love a useful kitchen it’s such a big part of family life, my husband designed our kitchens (he is not a kitchen fitter) but we learned that having sink, cooker, fridge the in the way you demonstrated is called a working triangle x

I have a Nissan Passenger van and I definitely recommend getting these rubber floor matting. It’s basccally where they get rid of the carpet and put this thick rubber over so if you have spills or muddy feet you can just wipe it up really easily and stain free
I’m still not sure (after 35yrs of car ownership)who thinks carpet in a vehicle is a good idea!

I was homeschooled until 10th grade. Then my parents helped start a school that was a university style school. We went 3 days a week and stayed home 2 days and worked at home on assignments those 2 days. It was the best of both worlds. :)

I would have bought that first table with the green legs. Cut it in half or whatever to fit that window spot and brace it to the wall or window frame, or attach the other two legs to it and put the flat cut side towards the window and use the rest of the table top for a shelf. And I would have probably asked them to lower the price a bit more. Two uses for under a 100 bucks.

For your shirt, tencel is actually made from trees, not plastic. There are fabrics out there made from recycled plastic, but tencel isn’t one of them. In case that makes a difference for you in the future. It can however be made from recycled trees which is always a good thing.

Loved this video! Especially showing us our favorite things and the chat with Daniel. I was rolling my eyes when I saw comments about Daniel getting the short end of the stick with room choice. I'm glad you addressed it the way you did and didn't waste energy replying individually. (Not that you had to address it at all, obviously.) I know you have tons of free time for youtube requests 😉, but... If you could post a link to the rug I would be so appreciative! As soon as I saw it last video I was determined to find one similar. It's what I've been imagining for my space.

No one was saying that Daniel wasn't loved, and everything I saw being said was well intentioned concern, none of it was hate. When you put this much of your life on the internet and a particular family member is maybe not seen or represented as much(even though the reason here is clearly just that Daniel is a very busy kid lol) people will ask those questions. It comes with the territory.
Cait B, Oh I never thought it was hate at all. Just insensitive in my opinion & enough for Megan to have to get Daniel to explain. She was laughing about it but you know it hurt her feelings. I could never point out anything negative about somebody’s child like that. Especially only seeing 1 hour of their lives a week.

You can make your own roasted garlic easily. Get the bag of garlic cloves from costco produce cooler section, three pounds of cleaned cloves you put them in a 9x13 glass baking dish,cover with olive oil, and roast them on low heat till browned to your likeness. You can also save the garlic infused oil. The roasted cloves freeze well also
May I ask as you home school and you have moved around does anyone check if your children have reached a fair level of education , If they want to go to a college or University do they have to sit an external examination to be admitted.
US universities require all applicants to take the SAT or ACT admissions tests. Most prestigious universities also require homeschooled applicants to take a few SAT subject tests, which focus on a specific subject, such as biology or Spanish.
I don’t know exactly where you are in NC, but where we lived in Concord, NC there were wonderful antique malls. The white Owl was our favorite.

The NV really is comfortable. I wish it had just a teeny bit more space in the trunk for our costco trips. And the biggest problem for us is hot summer days because the a.c. does very little to cool down the 4th row so we have little fans plugged in that attach to the head rests. But I do love it. Considered getting the Mercedes but honestly It felt like I would be running a shuttle from the airport to a hotel rather than driving a family van.
