When cleaned regularly, frequently touched surfaces manufactured from uncoated copper alloy materials will continuously kill bacteria that cause infections.

Finally some more scrap! My latest light job has been epic. Over 80% * double copper transformers out of ~300 lights . 290 more to go! And pulled 920$ out of a single mobile MrI trailer in 5 hours! All copper wire and copper pipe! Brass stainless wtc
It’s sad that so many LEDs are coming down and ending up in my pickups. They make them where you can’t service them. Like the screw that chew up and bit that hits them! Cheap china stainless steel😂
@@ProjectShopFl not mobile home Mobile MRI tractor trailer! It like a hospital room on wheels! Miles of wire and all copper wire because they have to power a MrI machine! Massive AC units on outside. And if I can get a trailer big enough the MRI ‘s weigh 12-20000 pounds. The old models are stainless steel with a beryllium copper coils running through them or something!
The metal spring over the copper pipe at the 14 minute mark you were curious about, is so when you bend the copper lineset, it won't kink as easily. It's found in ductless split air conditioner heads

I would not mind doing something like that, but it would be something I do in the other side of my garage. Right now, I have about 55pounds of copper that I have saved up and about 150 pounds of coated power chords too small to go through my electric stripper. Mine is a side gig not my actual job. I like being able to wear a suit to work.
Copper and zing brass . Melt together for and casting . If you melt copper with aluminum, it will be extremely brittle, like drop on concrete a couple feet and it shatters . Don’t ask how I know .

The jaw, hatchet and air chisel are your best friends in the shop for micro scrapping and they take no prisoners. LoL. Steve loves that air chisel. @30:00 wondering if that plasma welder / cutter would be faster at cutting the tips of the screws and that plate on the back. As for the screws, maybe it's some kind of Japanese standard screw or something slightly off?
To separate zinc and copper from brass takes a chemical reaction. Not worth the time, hassle or money for a small shop. Then there is the equipment to do it, dealing with the waste, and the list goes on. Sell it as is to the yard unless you really want the headaches in addition to losing money.
So are the bodies aluminum and the plates are lead??. i would think your still making money at .15 a lb. here in central VA we get .50 a lb for extruded aluminum.
What are they paying you on NO 1 right now. I’m getting $3.88 but might have another yard I’ve never been too. One of my contractors got quoted $4.10 a pound!!

Try not to put rubber etc in your crucible as it will mess it up and the fumes are very toxic.

$5.56/lb on 1a bare bright copper in Canadian dollar today... .60/lb on cast and .98 on Extrusion.

I had a bit that fit them they were just seized and broke a few bits right off the bat.

The bodies are cast aluminum and the plates are sheet al and copper but have plastic that has to come off. Cast and sheet are .65 and EX is .75

Around $4 I was quoted 4.10 but they only paid 4 so I'm going back to my old yard.
