King Gizzard and the Phish Lizard - Vol. 2

Have you ever pondered how Phish and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard show would sound?
Not both bands each playing their own set, rather a set with the songs rotating between Phish and Gizz material?
Due to the fact that I am an absolute obsessive lunatic, these are the thoughts that constantly pop into my head. With that said, I present to you the latest manifestation of these thoughts. -
King Gizzard and the Phish Lizard Vol. 2
My first Phish/Gizz mix focused solely on mixing together instrumental jam sections from portions of each band’s material.
I spent an evening joined by my good friend psilocybin, to bring my mind to that place I so often seek when seeing favorite bands. I wanted to let go of attempting to control the flow. I wanted the anticipation of the jam climax, and allow myself to feel out the most natural and exciting progression from one track to the next.
This time rather than solely focusing on instrumentals, I have wove together full songs, along with some heady jams. The result was a mix that more resembles a full show experience. The goal was simple, drop the listener straight into the psychedelic madness and chaos of this dream show I’ve concocted.
This was a fun one for me, and I hope you all enjoy the ride as much as I did. So sit back and relax with a few joints, your preferred psychedelic vehicle of choice, and enjoy.
