Nice! I bought a similar 15-3 about 20 years ago from a retired Police Officer who had carried it many years before. It had the factory large grips on it and when I picked it up (lofty sum of $150!) he had the box and in the box were the original grips, cleaning rod an manual!!!
He said it right, it's as good as it gets! You can bet on your S&W wheel gun every time as long as you do your part. Keep it clean, keep lean it's the best damn gun you ever seen.... Thanks for another great video 1957Shep.
Thanks for the great video. I picked one up a few years ago at the pawn shop that also had the target hammer and trigger. The grips however are smooth but otherwise have the same configuration and do have the Smith emblem in them. The one I have has a lot of use and you can see that mine has nearly no finish left on the ejector rod. The gun runs great however. Pinned barrel also. Thank you again for the showing.
Agree, doesn't get much better than that! The original Manurhin revolvers were better, but not as pretty. Smith and Wesson is just good enough and extremly pretty guns! The .38SPL is he best handgun cartridge in my mind.
@@1957Shep I blame gun writers for that, they have indoctrinated people to think there is such a thing as "stopping power" with handguns. It's a complete myth!

Very cool!
Sweet. In my opinion a 15 in this configuration is just about the most perfect pure 38 Special ever built… so sweet
Thanks
What an extraordinary example of an awesome gun!!
Thanks
Beautiful! Looks exactly like my Model 19-4. Thanks!
Thanks

The smooth target or smooth service grips were an option in the 70s and early 80s.
Thank you!@@1957Shep

Beautiful revolver. K frames are the best!

I was issued the K38 when I was in Vietnam 1970-71
The Army and Air Force had a lot of K Frame Smiths over the years.
Fine fundamental weapon

Some people turn up their noses at the 38 Special, but it has been around and used very effectively for well over a century.

Thanks!
The Pin Barrel are worth a lot of money S&W stopped the Pin Barrels in 1982.
Prices for nice condition older S&Ws have been going up a lot the last few years.
Sweet 🙂☕👍
Thank you
My EDC stoked with FBI load.
They are excellent revolvers.
