The level of editing genius that is Woolie not believing a twitch streamer played BotW without understanding basic game mechanics then immediately saying "my brand" is amazing.

You and me both. I remember actually looking for the longer version cause I wanted it to be known how she barely escaped death entering a new room while trying to guard.
Woolie hasn't had fried turkey before. It's worth the risk. And by risk, I mean if you actually take into account oil displacement when setting in your turkey, as well as making sure to thaw and dry the turkey, you're not going to have a giant turkey-infused fireball.
I love these sort of videos because they remind me of pre covid times when my friend group was more cohesive. When hanging out late and bored we'd just share videos and music we saved to our lists for just that reason. It was a great way to share with each other and laugh. These scratch that itch in a parasocial sort of way. Thanks Woolie and Reggie.
The robot sumo thing is surprisingly hype. It's even more hype when they have humanoid robots. Sure, they have to pick the things up constantly, but they give their little mini gundams intros and shit! It's great!
To clarify about the robot sumo since I used to compete in it - it's not remote controlled like Robot Wars, it's all autonomous. The robots have sensors to tell where the enemy is and on the bottom to tell where the white edge of the ring is, and you have to program them to do the sumo logic ahead of time. That's what those fabric flaps are for, it's to confuse the enemy's sensors. Also, Woolie said they have to use the same motors and stuff - there might be different rules in different places but when I completed the only standardizing rule was that the robot had to fit inside a square of a certain size at the start of the match. That's why you see some of them with big flaps that fall down at the start of the round, they have to be folded up before it starts to fit inside the square footprint. Other than that, it can be any weight, any cost, any hardware. There are some standard kits for people to get into it, and different size classes as well - the smallest I saw was nano-sumo, where the robot had to fit inside a 25mm square.
When Woolie said “Dogs have jobs in Grenada” I imagined some Dobermans dressed as secret service with ties and sunglasses standing vigil in front of someone’s house.
"go anywhere, including away from the tutorial" i played BotW for nearly 200 hours without finding where to spend korok seeds. i still think the limited weapon inventory is more balanced/interesting than having a billion melee weapon slots.
I 100% believe the BOTW girl, the combat shrines are super easy to miss and if it was someone's first Zelda they would have no reason to expect those moves to exist.
I like these kind of videos . I get to watch reactions , follow up punchlines to videos and see things I’ve never seen before I wish I had before. Thanks wools
As a successful turkey deep fryer, it's ALL in prep. Dry the turkey and pre measuring the oil so you know how much to put in. Displacement is a higher concept to most people who want to try this. 30 to 45 minutes for a pretty good turkey.
Someone went out of their way to first give a dog a machete, then train the dog on how to use it, the dog can even do low swipes and high swipes, it know that it has to hit, it even used his paw to adjust the damn blade, dude what the hell were they thinking!?
Regarding the Elden Ring NPCs: I always felt that since Dark Souls 1, where the NPCs were supported by the world and narrative, while also supporting it themselves have in every subsequent release become more of a tool to support the narrative, rather than having a narrative of their own. Lautrec, Solaire, Griggs, Laurentius, etc. all felt like they were actively trying to persue their own story and agenda, while giving hints to the player about the overall narrative. In the other titles, apart from a very select few NPCs, this has all but faded and these newer NPCs have very little impact on the player.
I completely understand what you mean. Lautrec is the only Npc that made me question the prophecy of the chosen undead even though he never said anything about it
Aldia is probably the closest you get of that connection to the player, as he directly asks the player who's attempting to link the flame: What is it YOU want? What do you desire out of this? And that's probably a big reason why he's such a memorable NPC/boss amongst the series. It's a real shame he is never even brought up in DS3.
I remember I had the chance to deep fry a turkey in high school during my culinary arts class. Deep-fried turkey was pretty easy for my dad to figure out his first time, due in part to his Military experience Dude once told me how they (either their side or the enemy side) would make unmanned molotovs out of light bulbs that were would explode when the lights were flipped. If you want a NPC in Elden Ring to have a happy ending you have to pretend they don't exist and don't do their questline. It rarely ends well.
