Awesome dive. I remember how tight things were when my children were young. These days I have the pleasure of sending them things all the time to help out. It could be dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, tp, paper plates anything. My daughter said to me that the other day she had to buy laundry soap for the first time in forever. It great to help in the little ways so they can prepare to take care of other things

Amazing Haul once again! I was a single parent with my son and I know what it’s like, struggling to make ends meet. We lived in a trailer and I ran out of fuel to heat it. We were waiting for the truck to come and we sat in the car and sang Christmas carols. Years later, my son mentioned one of the best times was sitting in the car and singing Christmas carols. I thought he would remember it as a terrible time but he didn’t. I’m very blessed now, and so glad that you’re doing this for people.

That store may be going through a remodeling. Check back often, Shannon!!! This happened to me once and that's what was going on. I got laundry stuff, socks, underwear, bras, shoes, pillows, toys, etc, ALL in the trash. Great haul, ma'am, you go! 🫶🏾🙌🏾💪🏾 How's that elbow?!?!

I was a bartender once back in the early 80’s for a second job and I know how hectic it can be at times. You are such an inspiration to me. I am 73 years old.

So glad you rescued so much from the dumpster and donate to help those who are in need. Wish there was a place to donate the food. On one of the dumpster divers I watched they found a small donation pantry at a gas station. Maybe you could check with the stations in a needy neighborhood to see if you could build one.
There’s no since in asking , it just happens. You are blessed to have a heart as big and warm as the sun and when times are toughest he blesses you with a haul such as this . God bless you always .
I just don’t know how the stores personnel can throw away all of those perfectly good and useable items. They don’t seem to give it a second thought. I volunteer for the homeless and there is a great need for them.

I have come across diving clothes from the DG that they have thrown out. Not quite as much as you found but close. Donated the majority to the domestic womens shelter. Blows my mind...

Hello Shannon. Good luck on finding great stuff in the dumpsters to donate to those who are less fortunate. Good luck on finding sodas and other stuff. Look at all of that stuff at the Dollar General. And all of those clothes in the dumpster.
To remove security tags from clothes with magnets, you can12:
Use a hard drive magnet or a rare earth magnet since most tags are deactivated in stores with electromagnetic devices.
Place the dome side of the tag against the magnet.
Pull the magnet away from the tag. The two parts of the tag should separate. If they don’t separate on their own, apply a little force.
Alternatively, attach the tag to a high-power magnet with the ink cartridge facing down. The magnet will loosen the tag, ultimately venting them off. You can then babble it to remove the pins. It is a highly effective and safe way to remove security tags from clothes with hands.

Hey Shannon ❤️I haven’t been able to watch you in a long time. My husband passed away October 18th and my life has been a huge mess. I had emergency surgery on December 22nd and tomorrow see a retina specialist as I have possible retina detachment in right eye . I’m so happy I saw your post . It truly lifts my spirits. God bless you. You are in my prayers. My beloved husband John passed away on 29th of September and I too am lost and drowning in sadness. I never thought I'd be a widow at 63. The loneliness hurts so much that l wish I could rip my chest open and pull out my heart at times. Strangely enough I have a hospital appointment on Monday about my left eye. I had a bleed behind that eye a year ago and the retina was permanently damaged so l only have partial sight in it now. But I thank the Lord my right eye is perfect. I will keep you in my prayers. Wow!! That is so awesome!! We had a great food haul Wednesday night. We ask relatives if they would like anything. They "politely" declined. They know it came from a dumpster. If my sister lived closer, I'm sure she would take some. I wish stores would donate the food directly to a food bank. Or set up a free stand themselves. Keep being a dedicated diver. Sending prayers that someone will step forward and take the food finds. Too bad you couldn't get together with the other divers and maybe find a solution ❤❤

Amazing!!! How can so much be thrown away and with security tags as well, like you it blows my mind. I wanted to thank you for being with me during the last month as I wasn't well. I had a vertigo attack that lasted nearly 5 weeks needless to say the worst I have ever had. Even now I am still struggling and also struggling to find us a new home. We need sheltered housing as my husband's dementia is getting worse and we need the safety and security, it would release some of the strain from me too. Shannon you are the dumpster star and I hope you soon find someone to take the food. Lots of love.xxxxx

Shannon, this is the one time you should have backed up to the dumpster so you could just toss everything in the back. Just my thought but you do you.
The reason she doesn’t is she is probably used to diving in the dark and she uses her headlights to be able to see in the dark. I asked that same question before.

That’s the DG up the hill from me, about 6 months ago their roof caved in and it has been closed ever since. They are planning to re-open at the end on January.
