There is an African archery technique that I've been telling people about. They use heavy standard bows and instead of drawing back the string, they anchor first and then push the bow forward. This saves your string drawing arm and it's also a natural forward punching motion with your bow hand. Since I've started doing it I've had no shoulder strain. It might seem unorthodox, but it is an ancient technique that you should give a try.

Hey bro I’ve been watching your vids for a few months now really enjoy the content..what kind of lighted knocks do you use and have you had issues with arrow flight while using them? I have some 340 spine gold tip hunter xt and was shooting them with 125 grain field point 62 pound draw weight and my draw length is 30 inches so these arrows were flying perfect with stock Nick and I installed some lighted nocks and they fly different now and looks like there corkscrewing I’ve tried knock tuning them and still only have maybe two of 6 arrows that fly straight. Also I kno my bow is tuned it’s new and only a few months old and i just took it back up to the shop a couple weeks ago to check the tune after shooting a few hundred arrows through it and it’s perfect. Do you think if I go up to a 300 spine arrow that would fix the issue? I was going to shoot 125 grain deadmeats this year
Hey man, thanks for watching! If you’ve paper tuned and nock tuned and everything is great there, I would consider tying 300 spine. 340 spine is right where you want to be at 62 lbs. However, Your 30” draw makes things a little more complicated though because you’re shooting quite a bit faster than I would be at 62 lbs with my 28.5” draw length. I’m shooting nockturnal lighted nocks and have been for years. The problem you’re describing is something I’ve seen with certain fixed heads and an out of tune bow. What lighted nocks are you using? They’re typically only 2-3 grains heavier than standard nocks which is nothing.
@@4BOutdoors so I bought some deepower ones from Amazon and there like 25 grains so quite a bit heavier than the stock nock by like more than 10 grains. And I plan on going up in draw weight too so I’ll try out some 300 spines and see what they do. Also it’s hard for me to justify the price for the name brand nocks man there so damn expensive
@@tylergarrison9031 25 grains is insane! I know the name brand one area expensive, but they’re worth. My nockturnals weigh 3-5 grains on average. I am shooting a .166 inside diameter 4mm shaft though. I would say that all that extra weight in the back is the culprit for weird flight. It’s also important that you did all of your tuning with the same lighted nocks you plan to use. I have some of my nockturnals that break after the first use. Not because they were defective but because it hit something hard after it passed through. Then I have some lighted nocks that I’ve been carrying around and using for over a year and have passed through 8-10 animals. The batteries last forever in them also.

It wasn’t just falling apart lol. I hung the rubber part of the stabilizer in the brush and it pulled it out of its place. When I shot it fell out. It’s not junk, I promise.
@4BOutdoors Yea I thought about that after I said that how those dampeners pop in and out so you can change them. Do you like IT though?... After almost 2½ years of me trying to afford VXR , i finally was able But instead ordered a Phase4 29 on ebay , because i wanted to get the Bridgelok stabilizer But that was before i looked at how much they are... I Paid $800 for the Bare bow.. and that's how much the stabilizer set is and just can't do it so I'm kinda bummed about it.

Exactly why you need to tie in the crappy rubber things in the all the Mathews, whenever they are. To replace those are at least 40 bucks each.

I just had the same thing with my shoulder. I ended up turning my bow down to 75lbs now I’m working on resighting in before deer season starts.

Bro I was wrong they weigh 30! I just took them all out and put the stock ones back in. Stock nocks are only around 10 grains
