Anxiety can manifest itself in so many different ways, both physical and mental, I have GAD ( generalized anxiety disorder) meaning there is no one thing that causes it, (Eg fear of flying) and anxiety of any sorts is horrendous and if you have never experienced it, you’ll never understand the symptoms! For those that suffer, it’s really indescribable and almost like you’re crawling in your own skin! I’m glad you’re feeling better!

I think you handled this well and it seems that your family is supportive. This is EXACTLY what happened to me when I was about your age. All of it. I was in Scottsdale and got overheated. Then the panic set in. So so so sick. Thankfully my aunt was with me and she had a couple of tranquilizers and lots of ice. I slept all the next day. It took a few years and more *incidents* for me to realize I don't travel well lol.
How would you review Arby’s in Italy though? /s Also my brother and mother have both been hospitalized for anxiety attacks. There’s so many factors that can lead to it and it’s not a math equation. Not saying that’s guaranteed what it was but I’ve talked to my brother on the phone while he was at the hospital many times and he is normally the “normal” one - I’m just lucky enough to not have to deal with anxiety like he does! i get that sicilys heat is extremely hot and can cause people to be ill but to say do not visit (in the title) might give people the complete wrong impression of my region :)

Every country has its struggles along with its beauty. The people in America aren’t trash, being forced to conform to capitalism isn’t the fault of its residents.
Once day I woke up in the middle of the night (I was 25) and thought I was having a heart attack because of my palpitations and chest tightness and nausea. I would have dizzy spells too. I actually went to the hospital where my hr was 140 for a few hours because I had a panic attack that wouldn't end. I had 70k with of tests done, had a monitor on for a week, etc., and everything was negative. I had battled some bad health anxiety after that because it is honestly traumatic to deal with your mortality because of anxiety, but it is REALLY extraordinarily common for people in their early-late 20s to experience this. Dizziness is so so so common with anxiety, even though your brain may tell you it's something more serious.
This vlog is a game-changer! Thanks for sharing your experience! It must have been very difficult to share this but you did! So sorry for what happened but I'm hope that you are feeling better. Are you planning to travel again soon?

Any-one that stays in Sicily for more than a week gets some kind of "Ilness" , it is actually a form of metamorphosis, you were turning into a real lover if life that's all. Mental exhaustion due to sunlight and the firm grip mother nature has on the place. If you can survive Sicily you can give yourself a medal. Here you are 🎖, a medal from all the crazy fun loving generous folk to a "Good Guy"! Before I nod off , get yourself checked by the Doc for "Allergies to Seafood, crustaceans," it's a common problem cos the seafood we consume is frozen /processed/homogenized , you were eating stuff straight from the Sea which can go off very fast in the heat.Learn more of Lingo and go back and enjoy yourself..
