- Hey Everyone. This is a theory class about a very common question that is "What is difference between Vector Images and Raster Images. I tried to explain this difference in a very simple way with the help of real world examples. I'm sure many of you already know this difference but still many of my students are still confused about this topic. So here's my way of explaining the difference between Vector and Raster. I hope after watching this video you will be confident enough to talk about this difference.

one thing seems missing in this lecture - if you can suggest at which scenario its better to use raster or vector image? this will be highly helpful.

The interpolation of pixels in raster images gives a clear understanding of why we shouldn't resize a pixel image again and again. Thank you Sir for your knowledge sharing.

What I understood is; in vector, it follows the stroke or boundary but in raster, it doubles the fixed area by stretching it so this way it loses quality.

But aren't the geometric figures like lines which make up vector graphics also made up of pixels? So now what is the core difference between raster and vector graphics?! I mean, it is easier to understand this superficially, but what exactly is happening at the rendering level, INSIDE THE COMPUTER?!!! This question is haunting me for ages now!! Nice video, loved it. Hope my question gets answered!!

Hi, I have a Raster image which i want to trace(Bitmap) in Inkscape, and want to turn it into vector SVG, while i try to trace it, it is unable to trace white outline or outer part of the logo which is white, it only vectorises Blue part inside of it, so am confused how to resolve this issue..please help. Thanks :)
