Not for outdoor use lol, I’ve been hopping in my kyrie 7s for awhile, I’m a clean freak for my hoop shoes Scrub the outsole after every time I play and they have been doing great for me they bite pretty good and stay good even on my dusty church court

@@paulmanole8101 I've been hopping in the 7s for a a little over a year now 2 times a week and the wear and tear is super minimal. The traction is almost all still in tact
Don’t use it for outdoor trust me, he’s right, the traction on mine has completely torn on the top
thanks for being honest and critical; I almost bought a pair of the sisterhoods. my Kyrie 1s tread is still very good despite playing in them indoors outdoors for over 4 years now

Nice review! Just got a pair of the "Samurai Ky". They seem to look slightly different and also I am unable to bend the shoe as you've shown.
They look pretty cool. It's a shame that they are not good for outdoors.

I don't know how it works in the states, but here in asia we have Nike's 'XDR or extra durable rubber' so we can enjoy these shoes outdoors not worrying about it balding😁

Personally think the traction feel a bit weird from the other Kyries, it’s not like they don’t have any, it just feels different on both indoor and outdoor courts.

What do you recommend wide footers? I had the kyrie 6 in 11 and it was to small but in 11.5 too big. I wear my pumas in 10.
Thoughts on Lebron 9 PS Elite South Beach Colorway? Is it good for outdoor? Tbh it doesn't pick alot of dust when i first used it.
I would like to mention about the Nike By You Kyrie 7 version. You can get a black or whit XDR Outdoor outsole so that can help with durability depending on your style.

why does nobody review the xdr outdoor sole? which is available as an option when you do the custom design. i use the xdr sole even for indoor use and its amazing. i never slip and believe me when i say i play on a very dusty court. almost builder site level at times.

You did not bring up the Kobe's. Dude when you have the drop in midsoles they are the "torsional plate" in that you can't bend the shoe when they're dropped in there.

*Lmao* most of these shoes are made for wooden basketball courts, not outside. Because that's clearly what the actual NBA players hoop on. Second, I hoop in Kyrie 6s and 7s outside and have zero problem with durability. My soles haven't frayed at all.

@@Dannyy29 yes I am flat footed so no matter what size I got the shoes never felt comfortable to walk in nor even try to play basketball in so personally try he shoes out because it really goes off your personal preference.

Kyrie line used to be a good performer for outdoor and indoor, also the durability is pretty nice. But the 7's..hmmmm not looking good
if you do the nike id or nike by you you can make the sole to be xdr outdoor rubber which makes the rubber more durable. therefore you can use it outdoors

I really wish you could do indoor traction performance because that's the biggest thing for me when buying a shoe. I'm in Canada I have access to an indoor gym soooo if you send me a pair of different shoes I can use them and give feedback. Of course I can return the shoes back to you. It's just a gimmick, chinese brand shoes are better for outdoor use.
I had an xdr Kyrie 4 and you could definitely tell a difference compared to the non-xdr shoe at the time. I wouldn’t say xdr is a gimmick, but idk if it’s changed over the past couple years
I had kyrie low 2s that had xdr tag on it, and i can say that it only last 3 months, there is a tearing in the forefoot area but still in the other area, it is stiff, but still i guess it is a gimmick
@@ecolon217 I agree that they change the rubber compound a little bit, but still not enough to be labeled as "Xtra Durable Rubber". So it's still a gimmick 😂
I made a nike id pair with a white outsole and its been phenominal. Great traction and no wear. I play alot and its not a problem.

A more minimal Kyrie sounds dope. Kyrie’s tend to be bulky. Bad traction is a hard sell though. How was it with you Nike by You colorway?
I agree. I had a pair of kyrie 6 and it lasted pretty long but it was bulky as hell. And the cushion sucks

Surprised to hear you can go true to size. I have narrow feat and I’d suggest going a full size up on the kyrie 6’s.

I just bought a pair of Kyrie 7’s and the 11.5 ended up being too tight on my toes and they’re killing me. They were already a replacement for my Giannis immortality’s that kill me around my ankles. 🙃🙃🙃🙃

I don’t think reviewing the durability of the Kyrie 7 based on its outdoor use is fair. I would have liked to see its durability review based on its indoor use.
I had the Kyrie 7 for only indoor use and it’s really bad. My high wear areas have zero pattern left and it’s smooth as butter. The traction wasn’t even top tier it was decent.

I haven't seen many Kyrie 7's (ID) yet, but I know that it just dropped in the shop. I just like how my pair came out, and as far as playing basketball in them, I got multiple KD13's for that. I knew going in that I wouldn't be playing in them ALL CRAZY like that...😂
