- A quick look at the field of DSV Champion wheat with the clover understory. With 1 fungicide and 130kg of artificially applied nitrogen the crop is looking really well. The recent rains (58.8mm) in May have helped the crop develop and I am really pleased with how it now looks. I have just sent off some leaves for SAP analysis and we will see what nutritional requirements it needs and we’ll apply those next week. I will update as we progress towards harvest.
Looks well Jake, thanks for sharing.
Good to see you back Jake. As ever, fantastic insight. Great looking crop, hope the yields match expectation
That’s looking great Jake 👍I’m looking forward to seeing the harvest results now
Great looking crop jake , hopefully it yields well.
Thats a good looking crop Jake, very healthy.
Looks Bloody Brilliant 👍
Looks beautiful 🇬🇧🤞
Nice companion for wheat
What a great looking crop! Roughly when did you sow the clover?
Planted early June 2021 into a failed crop of quinoa
Been looking forward to seeing this, the clover looks stronger in the no nitrogen plot, have you leaf tested some of the plants in there
Not in the zero N plot
looks awesome mate, whats the clover variety? cheers
Hi! thanks for your updates. I was confused when you said at about 2 min that you added 130kg N, and then around 3 min you said "this is a zero N plot". Are these two different plots that are next to each other?
Looks great what drill used for the wheat ?

Frost seeded clover? Rate? How are you testing for and applying nitrogen? Twin rows? Spacing?
Any herbicides after drilling wheat?
What drill was used?

Jealous, great crop
Thanks Jimmy, it does look very good although we've had a hot week (for us ;-)) so might have knocked some yield off but we will have to see!
Clover fixes nitrogen.
