Moving and finding a house is so hard when you're in a wheelchair. I'm glad you finally get to settle down and enjoy your new home!
It was definitely a lot! Lol there’s still daily treasure hunts going on. We have yet to find a drill for installing the doorbell system. 🤷♀️😂
Hi one footed phoenix hope moving went Well and I haven't been I hope everything is going well and it is nice and sunny for you. 😊
It’s been cooler this week than last week, but that’s okay. Storms are forcing me to quit pushing my limits physically. I’m pretty sore so I spent a lot of today resting. There’s only so much moving around boxes I can do even with my wheelchair before I’m tapped out to the max. We are still trying to find a few things ha ha ha. Moving is such a pain! I’ve been through a major move in my life previous to the physical disabilities, but my gosh seems like it’s been soooooo much work this time around.
On the up side, I’m finally doing well enough with my prosthetic to join a young adult group with our church! I’ve only met a few people so far but they all seem to be adjusting to me pretty well.
Hope your move goes well.
We are moved, now to unpack it all ha ha 🤣
You not wearing your prosthetic or using crutches anymore
Yes, I am not in this video because we have been in the moving process and this whole ordeal has significantly impacted my pain levels. Chronic pain is weird like that. For me, the phantom limb pain gets a lot worse if I'm much more active than I'm used to being. The vast majority of the time I still use my wheelchair because even on a good day, pain limits me to a couple hours at best in my prosthetic leg. Using my wheelchair allows me to go more places and do more in the time that I can't wear my leg. While using crutches might seem like a good solution, it actually does put me at a much higher risk of a fall right on the end of my limb where it is already the most sensitive. It is for this reason that I opt to use the wheelchair 99% of the time I am not in my leg.
@@onefootedphoenix so you can't have anything touching your stump ends when not wearing prosthetic leg
@@onefootedphoenix also I like to see you walking on crutches sometime if possible
@@tazsforever97 while this is not common among amputees the answer to your question is usually yes. It is a residual effect of having CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) before my leg was amputated.
@@onefootedphoenix ok didn't know
