If you like your kite foil, you will love the wing. It moves from 50% kite/ 50% foil, to 10% wing/ 90% foil. When on a wave 100% foil. These east wind days in our backyard are a gift with the large swells.
Hey Ivan. Good hearing from you. Our last meeting was on the ice at keswick, that crazy spring day. There was one kiter on the water with me, helping to boost the stoke and keep the party going. Been trying to find out who it was. Too dark to see. Blue kite
Did you install a little LED on your helmet at least? (maybe there was more light than it seems on the vid, but seeing a kite suddenly would have scared me...)
A helmet light wouldn't make it a difference. Ya, it was as dark as the video shows. Those black shots are looking at the skyline. I needed to look down at the water and you couldn't see far. The full moon helped a lot. The offshore run had me tense. Worst case I drift back to shore. There's no boats on the water in November, especially at night in stormy waters. I knew the kiter was out because we were the only two riding, We were both on water that afternoon. He was riding closer to shore and I could see his kite from the lights on the horizon. Often I couldn't see him at all and wondered if he went in. Then he would show up. I think we had a silent game of chicken to see who would ditch first.
Very cool, Greg 🔥
