This is a weekly vlog - week in my life, from manga shopping, studying, watching blue lock, manga hauls, going out, anime merch and eating a ton of food!

What caught my attention the first time I watched YuYu Hakusho was how attractive the anime looked especially for a 90s anime. The outfits , colors, and use of lighting in some scenes really drew me in :)
Omg awesome haha! I remember when my brother was showing me YuYu Hakusho - I was like what is this?! :O
And yeh 90s anime hit different - I still have loads I need to watch (which I still can't believe I haven't seen)
What caught my attention the first time I watched Death note was how smart both the main characters L and Light are.
Awesome! I loved it when I watched Death note for the first time too! I really liked how they always tried to outsmart each other 😊😆
the first time i read a proper manga i thought its a very "simplistic" but so beautifully refined and the story is creative and new. Comics where I'm from often have more "detail" in color and a meh predictable story, manga was just all black and white but way more artistic

It was very different when I first picked one up, as I read comics but I often read fictional books. When I first read one I bought it to class and got told off as it wasn't a book haha!
The first anime I’ve ever watched was Demon Slayer, Demon Slayer was the anime that made me wanna know more of their spoilers so what I did was just to find out who the Upper moons were which meant for me to look at demon slayer manga edits. I knew that I wanted to move on and watch other anime’s so I did, the second anime I watched was Naruto. It was pretty much great but I didn’t watch it very much often.
So then I saw a video called “ Isagi and Bachira edit” I thought it was like a type of fighting anime or like it had powers bc I usually that happens in every anime I watch. But I saw that it was like a soccer type of anime which made me feel relatable to life since I love soccer and I am really obsessed with it.
( I don’t wanna make y’all to read this long passage so ima stop lol )
Awesome! I absolutely love the Demon Slayer anime too! - the animation is amazing, I wanted to find out more about the upper moons too! I was like wow they are so strong?! Yeah, I watched Naruto too - I only have been watching clips now as it is very long!!
Ah awesome (that video is epic!!) Yeah, I thought it was something like that too haha! I love soccer (football as we call it here haha) It is so relatable and gets you hyped up haha!

When I first read Chainsaw Man, Denji’s sad upbringing and the brutality at the start really caught my attention. All he wants is to have a normal life. 😢
Yeah! when I read the first volume, I thought about his upbringing and how it affected his life afterwards. It makes you think quite a bit!
Then you should definitely not read berserk
Happy Saturday!!! I just finished reading Hell Followed with Us a few minutes ago, and ahhh! I was so tense at times reading this book and hoping for a good ending for the characters, and now I can say that I'm satisfied!! I think the book could use an epilogue but I still liked the ending we got, and I'll be thinking about it and the rest of the book for a while! I really enjoyed reading about the religious themes and all the descriptions and everything to do with it, along with the general effed up world state and body horror the book gets pretty graphic with! There is a tooth pulling scene and my soul fled from my body for a hot minute when I was reading it. Yeah, it was good! xD
QOTD: Ahhh, these days I think I always look at the art and paneling first? That tends to get my attention really fast! But when I was only first getting into anime and manga, it was definitely the characters and the plot!
Speaking of manga, there was a big online sale a couple weeks ago and so of course I had to buy some stuff! I found a series that I had been scouring the internet for for a few years now, one I've been interested in collecting and reading ever since I started reading A Bride's Story! It's by the same creator; the series I'm talking about is Emma, the glorious hardcover editions! It's basically a Victorian romance with a maid as the main character, which is definitely up my alley. It's entirely out of print, so when I saw that they had the first three volumes for a good price online, I had to scoop them up!! I'm so happy to finally have them, now I only need two more volumes! The hardcovers are so gorgeous, ahhh!!
I read some of Love is an Illusion as well, but I had to drop it a few chapters in! It's a shame, because it sounded cute; I really thought it was gonna be a wholesome rival to lovers thing, but then there was so much dubious consent/rape, the way it was handled in such an icky way, and I was just so uncomfortable with the way the narrative never properly addressed it, and just seemed to keep sweeping it under the rug? Ugh, it's a shame, I was really hoping for more out of it.
The Wolf Never Sleeps looks interesting! I've seen it around before and the art and setting appeals to me, but I was just on the fence about if I should get it or not. 🤔

Oooh, yes some of the art and panelling for me makes a difference. When I pick up the first volume it makes me kinda question if I should pick it up and carry on- but then I end up loving the characters and plot! haha

The biggest bargain I can find here is the 3 for 2 manga (but you have to visit the store) Oh wow, I just looked at the art for A Bride's Story online - it looks different and idk why but I really like the art o: I bet they look amazing as physical copies!
Ah, same here - I think I ended up dropping Love is An Illusion. The art was good and the characters seemed okay. However, it was kinda repetitive for me
Yes! there wasn't anything the narrator did to address those issues - like it kept going on? I wanted to see if anything changed a chapter/volumes in - but I think more characters got introduced and the same thing happens.
Yeh!! I have been on the fence with a few things that I have picked up. I've seen it around too - but I just haven't had the chance (or money lmao) to pick it up.

Sweet home, when i watched the web series trailer and saw comments about it's webtoon so i searched and and about 15 chapters, when i got more interested is from solo leveling

Q. wow, this is actually a very interesting question, about anime, the animation took me by surprise, as well as the language, I will admit that I have never had contact with this part of Asia before. As for manga, I always loved to read, it just changed the format

Oh yes, the animation in an anime - is what amazed me at the time when I first watched one. But now when I watch new animes' that are recently streaming - I just can't help but think how far it has come!
Yeh, the language too! I tried to learn Japanese during my studies in a module. However, the teacher quit after 6 months and they ended up dropping the module haha! I would love to learn more languages though!
For me, I've only got properly into reading in my late teens - but with manga, I can't argue with drawings haha.
Oh yes! I had to stand there for a good few minutes after and just appreciate how it looked!
I watched Blue Period on Netflix and I read the volumes just yesterday! and it's super amazing - especially as a manga as it is s about art!! - so yeh :D

@@travizco anime animations have improved a lot over the years, that second season of demon slayer, in uzui's fight, that animation was too amazing, very different from 2014/2015 anime.
The coolest thing about blue period is that yatora is a character that matures along with the story, very good!
Ahhh yes!! - I was gonna mention Demon Slayer S2 too (you beat me to it haha) that was so satisfying omg - we had to replay that fight so many times. As it was so quick and because of the fire in the background it was just amazing!
I'm super excited to continue Blue Period - I love Yatora as a character and it's amazing to see how far he can progress. Especially to see how far he has come and where he could possibly be :D
