Jameer Hosein x Jaisay Karemay Chala [Chutney]

Jameer Hosein, 65, was born in Freeport and grew up in a family where his father, the late Hosein Ali and his uncles practiced singing in the village for weddings and other social functions. Against this background, he became very fond of singing and spent his early years under the watchful eyes of the late Isaac Yankaran in the Naya Sangeet Orchestra.
Hosein who is a senior sales representative at Southern Sales Company limited now resides in Kelly Village, St Helena. He is the father of five and grandfather of twelve. While there were many singers who inspired him to keep singing the classical songs, he has been self taught. As a youth he spent many years researching and writing materials to sing. Today he is contracted to sing classical, film songs, bhajan, and gazals.

Played this song for my aunt funeral. She and Jameer had a special bond since he introduced her to her husband. RIP Tanty POPO all of his songs remind me of you 😢 very proud to say Jameer Hosein had great history with my family
