Im a normal video game developer and I was researching for level/world design videos and found this. yours is about TTRPG but this video helped me more than all other game dev videos :D Im developing an adventure action RPG and was struggling making my world interesting ^^
I’m trying out all kinds of stuff! Wrapping up a play test game using Heroes of Cerulea. Playing in an ongoing Shadow of the Demon Lord game. And about to play Cy_Borg and Monster of the Week!
@@JPCoovert Cool! I experiment a lot and like to see I'm not alone. My go to is a rules light PF2e game I pretty much just made myself. I like the PF2e character options, but hate the complexity, so I bolted it on to some rules light OSR type rules.
I disagree, I think step 1 is where you determine how in depth you want to take this. This could be used to map out a campaign, but it can also be used for small adventures as well. It’s up to how much detail you’re inspired to add.

JP, I’m gonna need to know more about this hardcover book you teased us with!
Oh you'll hear all about it!
I too am VERY interested in this 😮
Thanks JP! Writing my first RPG, and this will be super handy when putting it all together.
So excited for a hardcover compilation!
Thanks a lot dude! Your tips are amazing
thank you for this vid! you always inspire me to keep my campaign going !
I like to start small. 7 hexes is all you need for 3-4 sessions.
SUPER agree!
Always great advices! Thank you!!!!
Is the hardcover going to be a Kickstarter? Would love to see that with maybe some stretch goals for other goodies.
Yep! That’s the plan!
as always, i love u videos
Aaaand making your miniatures available...😁...?
Which system are you currently using? I assume a lot of home brew, but is it d20 based, d100, etc?

Step zero: session zero. Afterwards the adventure most likely will write itself.
1 scale
2 theme
3 goal
4 locations
5 factions
6 conflict
7 mysteries & secrets
8 extra danger
9 randomness
10 rewards
thx
Another W upload 👏👏👏
This is not an adventure design. This is campaign design.
